I walk through this park twice a week. It's a mile or so from where I stay. It's conveniently placed on Chambersburg Rd, while there isn't a traffic light, there is a center lane for turning. It's great if you have children and want to let them play on the playground. There is disc golf here that is used daily, so it's best to be aware of flying frisbees at all times. There are a lot of trails for walking as well
Love the disc golf course, the balled courts are not bad either. We use to love going to that park almost every day until some kids burned down the playground. Now the new playground is next to useless. Non of my 3 kids 4-10 like it so we never go there anymore
My grandson loves this park. But they have a killer slide that throws half the children off of it when they come down and since my grandson's been doing it for years he doesn't seem to mind but I have a feeling I'm just a slide ride away from a concussion or something. I think somebody needs to check at this slide
Real big filthy grass field. This land could be serving Huber heights so much better. It’s really sad to look at just trash everywhere and sad trees. If you want to play frisbee golf or walk a dog it could be okay.
Don't go there. They have a great 9 hole frisbee golf course and pickle ball is taking over the tennis courts. Please don't go, we want it all to ourselves :- . On a serious note, please pick up trash when you visit, if we all continue to do that it will make finding errant disks easier. Enjoy the park!
Nice place to go. Not enough children equipment, have a little jungle gym, but no swings. They have a great frisbee golf setup there. Not on this visit, but a group did try to charge to get into the park, which I laughed at him and just went around and park so I could eat lunch with my wife. Community parks are free lol
Don't let the nice playground images fool you because, unfortunately, it was destroyed by an arson attack. A new one was recently installed but is only half the size and more of an activity climbing frame, which isn't really suitable for our young children. The play area also doesn't appear to have been finished properly. The park has really gone downhill in the last few years, as they now appear to be using the lowest bidder to maintain the grounds. This has led to the spraying of grass killer around the posts, poles and trees, to avoid them having to use grass trimmers when they mow every week or two. The nice gravel footpath has become potholed and covered with weeds, and the air is almost always full of the smell of another kind of weed, which is probably why police drive thru there numerous times a day. The pickleball courts are usually empty, and I think the only people who really use the park for fun are disc golfers, kids that play basketball and local dog walkers. You also need to be careful of dead wood falling from the huge trees, especially when it is breezy or raining.
Nice and clean park, great play area if you have kids, nice for walking or taking your dog walking. Not a great place for picnics, only one shelter which I'm not sure if there is a table or tables, but none anywhere else. No place to sit except for benches in sports field. Very shaded with lots of trees and there is a tennis court. I go with my dog as she loves walking the creek .
Grandchildren really enjoyed there visit here. Nice and clean park
Grabbed some grub from Captain D's and ate at the park.
