If I could give them 0 stars , I would! I made a reservation 2 days ago for a vehicle this weekend. I show up at my scheduled time and told my reservation was cancelled , and “ at this time I can do nothing for you “. The associate went on to say “ yeah , we cancelled a bunch of reservations .” My last rental was filthy , with dents and scratches all around the vehicle. My last visit here, and I will spread the word.
I am a full time RV traveler and use this Hertz rental service when in town visiting family which is often. I never select to pay for gas up front. I was asked by the gentleman if I wanted to pay for gas in advance I said as usual "NO. I fill the tank before I return the vehicle" . I filled the gas tank prior to returning and checking the vehicle back in. When I received my emailed receipt I was shocked ! I was charged for gas. I called the Hertz rental office and a recording said I would need to leave a message and someone will get back with me w/n 72 bus. hours. I am STILL waiting for the return call after 4 weeks. I know businesses are filling a pinch, but for HERTZ to resort to scamming is shameful.
The vehicle that I reserved was unavailable at the pickup time. Then they tried to make me call their main office and "request" a refund...really?? How about give me the refund automatically and offer a discount on a future rental? Instead they wasted my time and ruined my plans. I'll never deal with them again.
Rented from here twice, both times for personal trip out of town. No problems with the first rental, which is why this review gets the 2nd star. 2nd rental is why I will never rent from Hertz again. Made a reservation 3+ weeks before the trip, but Hertz cancelled the reservation 36 hours before I was to pick it up. They said they didn't have any cars to fill the reservations. I ended up renting from a competitor, but the last minute request cost me another $100. The local staff blame it on their HQ, which may be true, but taking reservations when they don't have the cars is not a good model for retaining customers. They've lost me as a customer.
Hertz has great customer service; provided me a substitute that has a vibrant color while car returns from dealer with repairs. I am satisfied to have a vehicle that is efficient on gas as my Sonata is. Thank you all.
Got a reservation a month in advance by State farm while they had my car fixed. They had arranged for me to be in a VW Jetta, not thrilled but ok. Day I was supposed to get my rental I tried calling an hour in advance to be sure someone would be there to meet me at the shop. Phone rang for maybe 5 minutes, no answer and no machine. So when I got to the shop I let them know.. they said it's a common problem but they have a different number to contact someone. Ok, no problem. Well then I get a call and they're sending a Lyft to pick me up. Quite disappointed. Again, I was told that was common as well. I feel like I should have been told in advance. I would have had a friend give me a ride. Good news when I got there tho, they didn't have a Jetta so I got put in a charger. Which is pretty awesome other than the fact that it wasn't cleaned. Still has paperwork from previous customer in the glove box, it looked like ashes on the door, and there is dog hair everywhere. Not to mention the mystery spot in the back floorboard. Overall the staff was very nice and as helpful as she could be. With that being said, I still will not return. - Don't even have Facebook.
Hidden fees and poor customer service, had paid up fully before driving the vehicle, once car was returned I was charged an additional over $200.00 in hidden taxes and fees which was not at all explained prior to rental. Was not given an email or receipt explaining the new charges, money was taken off my card. I had to call in customer support which tries its best to avoid having a person talking to you. Very unhappy and will not be using them again.
This location is terrible. My fiancé was hit by a driver making an illegal left this morning. I called Hertz to get roadside and was placed on hold and hung up on for 2 hours str8. We finally just called the 1800 number after leaving the scene and that young lady set the claim immediately. Then we were supposed to receive a call about the replacement vehicle within 15 minutes. They never called. So we have been calling and CHRIS has been saying he has to verify the vehicle has been towed for the last 5 hours. My fiancé is current in the location and they’re still acting incapable. DO NOT RENT A VEHICLE FROM THIS LOCATION EVER!
Worst customer service EVER, don't care how nasty dirty or bad their vehicles are. So unorganized, and if I didn't have to go through fleet services for this rental I would NEVER use these people
I have been renting a car at hertz for over 62 days. And I must say Sidney is the BEST EVER CUSTOMER SERVICE REP I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED!! SUPERB. SUPERIOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!! Sidney will make sure that you get into a rental and is awesome when it comes to information about your rental, pricing and rental extension. She has a lot of patience. And is very serious about her job. And I value and appreciate her customer service and support! If she ever tell you that she will give you a call back. Please have patience. Cause Sidney will call you back with whatever information you requested from her. It rare to find someone to go above and beyond for customers and the company they work for! I strongly recommend renting at Hertz!!! We need more people like Sidney around this world. Wish I can get this customer service at other rentals companies! Sidney can be a awesome trainer for all future employees?! Thank you so much Hertz for hiring Sidney. SHE’S AM ASSET TO YOUR COMPANY! And once again thank you so much Sidney!! Timothy Harrigan
