Do not rent from this place or Hertz for that matter! The lady at the front counter was absolutely rude!  In addition, they gave me a car with a leak in the back tire.  When I called, they said I should take it to Pep Boys to get it fixed as they have a contract with them.  When I did so, Pep Boys said they do not.  I called ahead and they told me Hertz will reimburse me for a new tire as it was not repairable. I put on a new tire and submitted all receipts and Hertz said they would not refund me.  They absolutely will lie with no conscience.  I am not only done with Hertz in Folsom, I will never rent from the company again.  They are many others out there that I can do business with. They deserve a zero if I could!

Absolutely horrible. My husband rented a car while his car was in the shop. He was quoted a price. We have been around this block before so we asked "if we can, are able to bring the car back early without any changes" we were quoted at 55$ a day. We dropped the car off 4 days early and now we're paying 64$ a day. The lack of communication is unprofessional.  Also her attitude just put the topping on the cake. She replied asking if we wanted to pay the other full amount since we were not happy with amount given. After my husband saying that was a rude comment she proceeded to tell him customers choose to pay more because of the confusion. No one is going to choose to pay a higher amount. We will not be using hertz again. We have 3 trips planned and will be staying far away from this company.

The staff was very helpful. I'd been in an accident in my rental and they were able to process it and the information as painlessly as possible. We've used this location twice now and if I need another rental in future, this is where I'll go. Highly recommend.

Nice place with good collection of cars most of the time.. service is not that great, staff keeps changing frequently, last time I visited I went in 30mins before my reservation time and I was told no cars are available. Waited until my reservation time to get the same car that have been sitting in the parking lot since I have entered.

This Hertz is a joke. The staff members are very unprofessional at this location. I chose this Hertz because my son was involved in an accident and the repair facility was right up the street.  We were told the amount of the deposit needed and confirmed the vehicle we wanted. No one ever said they would only accept certain types of bank cards. When our vehicle was turned in to the repair shop Hertz did arrange for someone to pick up my son from the repair facility.  But, since he did not have the proper bank card they were not able to release the vehicle to him. I was out of town and attempted to contact the office to provide my bank card information.  The employee put me on hold while she so called checked with the manager for approval.  My son watched the three employees play around and just leave me on hold while never checking with anyone. They were so rude to my son and brushed him aside like he was  nothing.  When the girl came back on the line she proceeded to tell me the manager said she couldn't use my bank card. Even though she never even checked.  I asked her if she could have a driver bring  my son back to the repair facility so that he could pick his truck back up.  The employee said that they would not take him back to the repair facility even though they were the ones that picked him up. I had to call Caliber Collision and they were nice enough to get him.  When we do reschedule, this branch will not be getting our business.  Everyone at this location needs training and Brian needs an attitude adjustment. These employees give Hertz a bad name. I understand there are policies in place but had someone let us know the requirements up front there wouldn't have been any issues. Since this rental was due to a claim the billing was going to be paid by the insurance company. Therefore, it shouldn't matter what type of bank card they received their $50 deposit from.

I recommend you don’t place trust in your reservation with Hertz and this location in particular. The staff needs customer service training as well. I reserved a car and when I arrived they did not honor the reservation. I reserved the car to drive to the SFO airport and drop it off there. I’ve been stuck in an unfamiliar town, in a grocery store parking lot for five hours, and am having a family member drive four hours to come pick me up. I’m currently sitting outside the closed Hertz office at dusk, looking at vehicles they could have given to me, and likely asked for an inter-agency switch to honor the reservation. They said because I arrived one hour and twenty minutes passed the time I marked the reservation for, they gave it to someone else. But, I’m looking at cars right now. This stipulation is probably buried in the fine print. The agent at the counter had a one page print out of this on the top of his desk in large print, for quick retrieval. This is clearly a common occurrence at Hertz. They could have made it work for me, if they had better customer service.

I made my car rental reservation on the Hertz corporate website a few hours before my scheduled pick up time. I arrived about 10 min early to pickup the car. The associate asked for my name, looked at some papers, and then went to talk with another associate in the back. A few minutes later they both came back up to the counter to explain to me they didn't have any available cars to rent. I was advised they don't do same day rentals, even if made online. This makes absolutely no sense to me. I was offered no solution, nothing! Days later and now I notice Hertz is charging my credit card for a no show fee! Worst experience I have had dealing with any business that I can think of. I feel lied to, and honestly ripped off! Beware before you rent from Hertz. Very dishonest company!

I prepaid for my car through Expedia and on the website it said they would hold $200 on my card, and that I would only be charged $50 for taxes at time of pick up.  When I got there they told me that because I used a debit card to rent my card they were going to hold $500-$7500 on my card. After returning the car, they did not honor the return time Expedia listed and they charged me random service fees for every day I had the car that were not mentioned at time of booking. So they ended up charging me another $90 for that. I was also told I could not return the car early because I prepaid for it. Worst rental company I have ever used.

Wow what a waste of time. Made a reservations online. Called the spot to confirm, waited for 15 minutes on hold. Thought I would chance it. Came out here for them to say they have nothing and offered me a flippin SUV for 150 more than my quoted price. I don't have any more money to spend man I'm sorry. Very unprofessional Karen that kept me on hold.

Best Car rental in town.. it takes a while to get your car after your documentation as it gets busy with many customers at times.. but the employees do their best and are friendly.
