DO NOT RENT FROM THIS HERTZ LOCATION!!! I made a reservation 5 days in advance, and when I arrived, I was told that there were no cars available and that there was nothing that could be done. I asked about going to the Hertz airport location but was told that the airport is a "different system" and that they do not have to honor reservations made at this location, even if the airport has cars available so I would likely have to pay a much higher price for a same-day reservation. I was also told that this Hertz location had verified the day before that there were enough cars for the day. However, too many reservations were made overnight why did Hertz allow so many reservations to be made overnight???, so there were no more cars when I arrived. This means that someone who made a reservation overnight was given priority over my reservation which was made 5 days in advance. The person who helped me was very polite and patient. However, I think her hands were tied, and she just had no power or ability to help me. I'm not sure why this Hertz location even bothers taking reservations if they don't intend to honor them or even bother to have cars moved from other nearby Hertz locations if they are overbooked.
An absolute joke of a rental car location. 2.5 stars overall is honestly generous as most of the good reviews are probably fake. Not helpful at all, have a “not my problem” mentality, and the only reason they’re able to stay in business is probably because of insurance companies and 3rd party rental companies. Should have followed my intuition and stayed away. Rent somewhere else and save your sanity.
We called and they won’t allow us to make any changes to our rental. They now are making us get a refund which won’t be back on our card for 2-3 days. Now we are suppose to be leaving today and now can’t because they aren’t allowing us to Change the driver when my sister Inlaw is no longer able to go and they won’t let us change the driver.
I wish I could put a 0. The “Branch Manager” was extremely rude. He was unwilling to wait 5 minutes for my wife to show up with the “card on file” and would not except another payment , because he “had places to be” and needed to “vacuum” and close up. When I asked him why they would have a pick up time after the location was closed he didn’t respond to me and acted like I wasn’t there. Then told me get out of the store so he could close. Not sure why hertz lets you book a 5:30 pickup if the location closes at 5. Or why they would make someone with such terrible customer service as a “Branch Manager”……more like “assistant to the branch manager”. Over all, terrible customer service, the car that they had for us also wasn’t the one that was booked. We will never be using Hertz again.
Had a reservation. Got a call 45 minutes prior to pickup telling me that there was a problem in their system and they over booked and that there was no car for me. The only thing they said they could do is refund any money paid, nothing else. No help getting a car elsewhere or any of their other locations, no offer for a big discount next time, nothing. I could only find cars for twice as much with such little notice.
I needed to start my day early. I arrived minutes before opening. The manager got there late, It took awhile for the office to ready to handle customers. They didn't have enough clean/ready cars. I end up having to accept a different vehicle than I selected. Its clean seal sticker was already broken. It took 38 minutes to drive away with a car.
Before returning my car I decided to call because I had a question, the manager answered and said if I could hold, had me holding for 30 minutes without checking on me. I drive there still holding to find out he left and the attendant didn't know I was on hold. This felt terrible.
Terrible customer service. I guess I've been spoiled at Enterprise. I have a reservation for 4:30p tomorrow and I plan to drop off on the holiday because I don't have time to drop off on Tuesday before I go back to work. I'm already accepting that I have to pay for an extra day because it's a holiday weekend, fine. Well I was able to get in with my doctor last minute but unfortunately at 4pm tomorrow. So I asked if they have anything available earlier in the day or I can pick it up at 8am opening time the next morning. They said they would have to cancel my reservation and place a new one for $120 more. Now, I'm not asking for a discount, and I'm already paying for an extra day just because they are closed on the holiday, but to ask me to pay an extra $120 is outrageous. Sometimes when I rent through Enterprise they call me and ask me if I want to pick up early for free. Now that is customer service. Hertz should take note. I haven't even picked up the car yet and I already know I will never rent through them again. Oh, and I should mention that the person I spoke to had zero empathy. Could not care less. His tone made it sound like he was basically saying, sucks to be you, the rules are the rules. That's probably what ticked me off the most.
Had a reservation but no car available. Other cars were available but wouldn't provide complimentary upgrade. Wasted an hour and rep was not helpful. Do not recommend.
Jordan Catillo was very helpful in getting our rental changed due to an issue with the original rental from a different Hertz location. Very helpful, informative and customer focused! Definitely recommended
