I was wary about renting here because of the reviews, but then when you look at any other car rental place, it's towards the top end - no one seems to be having a good time renting a car, especially in this market...  That said, I just wrapped up my 3rd rental from this Hertz location 2 for pleasure, 1 for insurance when my car was in the shop and they've all been great. It's not easy for the staff to balance the business phone and the clients in the building, but they managed well without long waits in my experience. That said, I specifically want to acknowledge James. He's been polite, efficient, and personable and somehow the person I've dealt with each time.

We dealt with 3 different employees David, the manager, Rikita sp? and another and they were all so nice and friendly! We had requested a pick up truck to take the kids back to school but knowing it was going to rain, they offered a minivan at the same price. So helpful. Local businesses could learn a lot from their customer service.

EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE! I highly recommend this rental location. I was assisted by Branch Manager, Ms. Rikita Brooks. Ms. Brooks provided excellent customer service and was very patient with me during my Tesla tutorial. She was professional,  kind and answered all my questions. Regarding my rental car, Tesla was new, very clean and I truly enjoyed the drive. Location is convenient, right downtown Silver Spring. I will definitely continue to rent cars from this particular Hertz when needed. I strongly recommend.

Hello this place has the most unprofessional manager Rikita. She hung up on us like 5 times and was more worried about us knowing her position then about actually doing her job. She was very biased against us and she even called other hertz in the area so my friend couldn’t be rented to. She chases power but ignores customer service. I would not recommend this place and if have no choice talk to someone besides her if you want a good experience.

I arrived to pick up my rental and was informed that there were no available cars after having to spend money on a ride share out to this location. They said my car would be ready by 5pm and they would call me. After hearing nothing, I called back only to be placed on hold for a ridiculous period and then informed that my rental still wasn't ready. Please save yourself stress by choosing any other rental company.

Arrived for a reservation that was confirmed through multiple parties and Hertz themselves only to find out no cars available upon my arrival. Yet there were plenty of the identical vehicles in their lot. Wasted 3 hours of my time that morning and spent a decent amount ubering to their facility for absolutely nothing. The branch manager seemed not to be bothered one bit. I won’t name drop her, but was really considering.

Honestly the worst experience. The man who helped me was rude, told me I was only authorized for $46 a day and when I called geico he popped attitude. Truly, you should go literally anywhere else.

This location is just poorly ran, i've booked twice with this location one reservation was months in advance and for both reservations I did not leave with a car rental because there was a 2 hr+ waiting list. For some reason this location never seems to have cars or maybe they over book, the logistics are poor and it can disrupt your plans. I would advise the airport or another location. Save yourself the time.

I expected some subpar service because of the reviews I’d seen here. I was wrong. I had no issues whatsoever even though I’d reserved using a third party app. I was in out with the reserved car in about 10 minutes.

The worst place to rent a car, first of the clerks altitude they spent good amount of time on their own phone or the business phone they don’t care about people waiting to pick up car up front second and the most annoying part is after waiting an hour and half for car they inform me the car isn’t rentable seriously? Then they will give you 800 number to get your money back they know the reservation is none refundable how is that fair you kept the money and the car? I make sure I got my money back, this isn’t business this is stealing and disgraceful hustling get respectful employees
