Bad customer service. Showed up and the only sedan in the lot was for my reservation, and as the man was taking my card information he told someone he knew the battery was dead in the car. The other coworker instructed that the tire was also flat, so they couldn’t rent to me after all. I was charged a “no show” fee after being told they would call me when a usable car was returned, and no one ever called. No one has reached out to refund me the fee. My favorite part was them renting me a car knowing the battery was dead, but the flat tire was really the issue why they couldn’t??? Go to Enterprise down the street, I was in and out in 15 minutes and had a great experience.
Worst rental car experience ever. Do not rent from Hertz!!! Ivan and Micheal or Michel are a joke. Worst customer service I’ve ever dealt with at a rental car place. The car I booked wasn’t available. First they told me they didn’t have my reservation on file, when I pulled the receipts, they told me I HAD to pay for the price difference because I booked it too soon before the reservation time, etc. Will never rent from Hertz ever again.
Ivan was amazing and helped greatly. They didn’t have the car I wanted, and he offered a substitute and later got me the actual car I wanted from another branch and ordered me a taxi. He was one the best services I had ever at a rental agency.
Worst customer service ever. Don’t rent from here. You will wait 40 minutes to get your car if you are lucky to have your reservation kept by them. I used Expedia to reserve and paid my insurance already online and when i got there they said they don’t work with expedia and no cars available. They threatened me for not giving me any cars, wonderful customer service. So they charged me extra for the same car i reserved already. This place is scam. Plus I forgot my garage opener in car and tried to contact them to get it back but they weren’t interested to help me out. Didn’t even checked the cars or gave me any information. Horrible customer service, hertz should cancel their franchise. Go rent somewhere else.
I'm a frequent renter at Hertz LA Brea, and have enjoyed really good service. As this is the busiest location in LA other than LAX of course, it's a good idea to call over ahead of time and make sure your car is actually there. They are relying on people bringing cars back when they say they will.
Despite confirming my reservation, there was no car available upon my arrival. The employee didn't even apologize. He was so rude and disrespectful. I submitted a formal complaint on the hertz website for this inconvenience and financial losses due to my coming all the way to this location and being unable to rent another car in the same day. This is completely ridiculous.
The location is convenient. The fact that this location doesn't have an after-hours drop-off option created an inconvenience in our trip. Had to return the vehicle a day earlier.
Worst customer service I have ever had trying to rent a car. They are very unprofessional. If you want someone to talk down to you, this is the perfect place to do so. But if your looking for a place with great customer service, you need to go somewhere else. Never rent from this location!!
These guys are so nice, efficient and considerate. Really grateful for how they took care of me. Night and day from my hertz experience at the Marriott Airport location. Highly recommend coming here
Rented from this location multiple times without issue. The last time I rented, staff was less than accommodating and unapologetic for the wait. When I reached out to management at the location to discuss the issue. The response was not only nonchalant but I was gaslight. I will not return!
