Hester Agency is a locally ~ family owned and operated business. With over 100 years experience combined. Ricky Hester began his career with Allstate/Sears in 1969. He never dreamt where this adventure would take him. In 1985 Ricky was promoted from Agent to Area/District Manager with 36 agents working under him. His wife, Connie Hester and his daughter, Crystal Hester worked in his office and at home doing expense reports and making books, typing letters, Cold Calling, Mail Outs and doing anything that could help make his job a little easier. In 1995 ~ Ricky was given an opportunity to move to Roswell, NM to take over his best friends agency. He was too valuable to the company ~ they asked him to stay for an additional 2 years as Area Manager. After hard decisions Ricky and Connie decided to sacrifice and Connie would move to Roswell while Ricky and the family remained in Texas. Connie started the agency by herself while Ricky held down the fort. 2 years later Ricky joined Connie in New Mexico. He was in Roswell 2 months when he was offered to buy an agency in Hobbs, NM. Ricky and Connie decided to go ahead with building the businesses. 2 months into it they were offered to buy an additional agency in Roswell. With having a larger customer base they made their daughter an offer she couldn't refuse. Crystal moved to Roswell in May of 1999 with her family which included 4 little girls ages 8, 5, 4 and 2. She began working in the agency in June 1999 and has loved it ever since. In 2008 Ricky and Connie's son ~ Eric Hester came to join the team. Eric is the ONLY Hester that can say he has worked in all 4 agencies. In 2009 an agency was offered to Ricky and Connie in Carlsbad, NM, which soon became the 3rd Hester Office and location. In late 2009 another agency was offered to the Hester's in Las Cruces, NM. In 2011 ~ Kayla Jones decided to join what is now becoming a "Legacy" and moved to Las Cruces, NM to begin an agency in and as the same respect that her grandma had accomplished 16 years earlier. Kendra Mae ~ Crystal's 2nd in age daughter joined the team in 2011 as well. She is being groomed to do HR which includes payroll, taxes, knowing the law and keeping us all in balance. Yes, if you have kept up that is THREE GENERATIONS. When you ask Ricky or Connie about their Legacy they will simply say " It's what we do ". Their love for helping families protect what matters most and their passion for the opportunity that has been presented to them is overwhelming, so great and loyal that it not only became their children's passion ~ It has been passed down to their grandchildren as well. You will see the Hester's at many community events. In Roswell ~ Their daughter and son in law are very involved beginning with various charities and organizations including Goddard High School events, Chaves County Cancer Fund, Walk for Hope, Paint the Town Pink, March of Dimes, Chamber of Commerce, Hispano Chamber of Commerce, Fiddle and Griddle, UFO Festival, Many tailgate parties in partnership with KBIM, The Country Giant. Eric, Bill, Kayla and Crystal have thrown out footballs, t-shirts, backpacks and candy at MANY school events. In Las Cruces Kayla is extremely involved with many charities and organizations as well including Las Cruces Chamber of Commerce, The Conquistadores, Young professionals of Las Cruces, M5, Charity Golf Tournaments and Motorcycle Rallies.
