I've had multiple positive experiences with this hhgregg and their employees on different occasions. I've purchased a basic washer/dryer pair with delivery and installation, a large grill and multiple pieces of sturdy furniture. The setup team was prompt and knowledgeable and even warned me that I needed an electrician to swap outlets so the dryer wouldn't overpower my circuits. The products have been working flawlessly since May '15 and I use the grill almost every weekend. Waiting for checkout sometimes takes a little extra time, but that's mostly because I always find online deals from their website for better prices. The staff are friendly and have always helped me load up the car and the manager once gave me a floor model deal I couldn't resist! Overall, highly satisfied with their competitive prices, quality products and genuinely caring employees.
Unscrupulous company. A few years back I purchased a washer and dryer here. I purchased here specifically because of their "free" delivery deal via rebate, according to the salesperson. They charged me for the delivery anyway and denied my rebate, and I felt the salesperson had been dishonest. After talking with a manager they eventually refunded the delivery charge, but I shouldn't have had to do that. Their rebate deals are just a scam as far as I'm concerned - even if you do everything right, they're going to deny it anyway. I've never gone back again.
We purchased a refrigerator, a washer/dryer set and a stove from hhgregg. Our purchase experience was favorable. We also purchased the extended warranty for the appliances. Thankfully! Our Samsung washer just bit the dust after almost 5 years. The repair tech contracted by the warranty people; called in the long list of parts needed to repair the machine. The total cost to "rebuild" the washer? Over $1,900.00 The price we paid for the washer? Under $600 +the warranty We waited a week to find that out; and will now wait another week for them to come back and rebuild it in our garage! WHY would they not say, let's just replace it? And deliver a new one to us the next day? We will NOT buy from them again!! Learned our lesson - will shop local!
I am completely dissatisfied and blown away by the poor service I received recently at the Mishawaka, IN HH Gregg. I purchased a washer/dryer set and explicitly asked the sales agent before purchase when the earliest date for delivery would be as this was a determining factor to my purchase. The sales agent specifically stated I would receive a call Sunday evening, 6/1 to confirm a 3 hour window. I verified that I need the delivery after 4PM as like any other adult - I work during the day and do not have the luxury of taking 3 hours out of my day to sit and wait for a delivery. The sales agent stated this would not be a problem to have the delivery after 4PM. Monday afternoon I finally call them, only to find out the delivery is set for the following Monday, 6/9. They could schedule the delivery for Tuesday 6/3, but told me I had to wait for a callback later on that evening to give me the three hour window - again reiterating I need the delivery after 4PM. The rep I spoke with stated if that time frame didn't work out to call back and reschedule. Finally I get a call saying the delivery time will be between 9:15AM-12:15PM. I immediately call the store and get the same rep I spoke with earlier that afternoon and she places me on hold and then the manager picks up with no explanation. His scope of customer service revolved around phrases like "This is the way we've always done it." And "I've been here 6 years and it's worked this way for everyone else." There was no sense of customer service as the entire call he was speaking over me and interrupting. His only solution was we could push the delivery back another day but there would be no guarantee on the time or that I could wait until Saturday. This defeated the whole purpose of purchasing appliances with the immediate need for delivery discussed at the time of purchase. This experience speaks volumes that this business is simply focused on the sale with no desire to improve customer service or return business. I will never purchase appliances from this store again.
Ordered and paid for new appliances 4 months ago that were in stock to be delivered to new home construction. 2 months later the appliances were not delivered to the store in time to get the rebate and I was told some of them were now on back order. Deadline to get appliances into my new home was September 9th, I was first lied to and said that they absolutely could not deliver September 9th. Called and talked to a second person and suddenly the 9th was available! Got my confirmation call on the 8th for delivery, 9th came and went with no delivery. I called at the end of the day and they laughed it off like they made some silly mistake and they never explained why they weren't delivered but said I had to reschedule my delivery. Promised me my appliances would be delivered Saturday. Saturday comes and I get a call that they won't be delivered that day. After speaking with the delivery manager, Liz, 2 or 3 times Saturday I was promised I would have the appliances Sunday. Sunday morning I get a call saying the driver is refusing to deliver my appliances because it is a "Friday only route." Friday was when my delivery was first scheduled! So here we are 3 days of promised deliveries, nothing but lies from the store, one appliance still not in and on back order 4 months after they took my money. They claim it is LG supply issues, everywhere else in my area has the same one in stock in their stores. Nothing but lies from numerous people in this store from the very beginning, and at this point I have no idea when I will get my appliances and my deadline to have them in my new house was a couple days ago.
We live in Fort Wayne but have a cottage in Leesburg, In. that we are renovating. We purchased all the kitchen appliances and tvs from the Fort Wayne store, spending almost 8000. but they were to be delivered by the Mishawaka store. The day of delivery we drove the 1 hr to meet the delivery team. They were great. The problem we have is with the Mishawaka store. The fridge was damaged and we refused it. We called the Mishawaka store and set up a new delivery a week later. We drove the 1 hour to meet the same delivery team and they stated to us that they were sorry but the store sent back the same damaged refrigerator. REALLY! We already had to cancel and then reschedule the plumber because of the damaged one we wasnt doing it again because of their incompetence. We called the Fort Wayne store and they had one but we would have to pick it up ourselves and deliver it. So we drove 1 hour back to ft Wayne and then 1 hour back to Leesburg and dropped off the fridge so it would be there for the install the next day. KUDOS to the Fort Wayne store. I will do business with them again.......SHAME ON THE MISHAWAKA STORE!!!!! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE... I will never do business with this store again and I will never recommend them to anyone!!!!!!!
HORRIBLE CUSTOMER RELATIONS!!! I just attempted to return a wall mount for a TV that I bought at this store. I was a few days past the 30 days during which they apparently allow returns. I had the original receipt and the item was in the box which had never even been opened. When the customer service woman said she would have to get permission from the manager to do the return I thought it would be no problem. WRONG. The manager refused to take it back, despite the fact that I have bought several TV's and appliances from this store in the past. So over about $100, h.h. gregg has forever lost a customer. I see several other similar reviews of their treatment of customers. I won't be back.
Thank god this place is closing, they are such a scam especially for black friday sales where I waited 6 hours for a washer dryer set and come to find out for me to get their price I had to pay their over priced delivery fee, hook up fee and their new gas line kit. Even though I could have done all this. I ended up walking out without purchasing a thing. Never went back to this store and that was 2 years ago.
i was going to drive over hour n a half to the mishawaka store but after reading all these posts from so many dissatisfied customers and problems? i dont have time m patients for all that! Just lost alot of business! i needed every appliance a house needs, forget it now, GOING TO ABC OR BEST BUY LIKE USUAL, THEY HAVE GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE N HOLD TO THEIR WORDS! SUCKS TO BE YOU, GLAD I LOOKED AT THIS FIRST, NEEDED TO KNOW CLOSEST PLACE N SAW ALL THESE LOVELY POSTS FROM SO MANY IRRITATED CUSTOMERS! I'D FIX IT BEFORE YOU GO OUT OF BUSINESS!
We have had NOTHING but problems with this company. From a completely messed up couch order, to a defective dishwasher that they won't return. Manager was condescending and rude. This place is a joke. Spend your money elsewhere!
