I been coming here for 7 years now. I love this place, it’s a great place to workout. Free weights and everything. One thing I’m not a big fan of is, they close at 9:30 and they try telling you that the weight room is closed at 9:15. They wanna kick you out early, I pay just like everybody else. If you close at 9:30 and I’m outta the building at 9:29 it shouldn’t matter...
Nice place with very friendly and helpful staff! Wish they had a seperate AQUAtherapy pool but the pool they do have is large and warmed a little. They have stairs as well as a lift. Locker rooms hard to use in a wheelchair but there is a family change room that works out nicely. There is no bathroom in it though, you have to go across the hall but it is very large and accessible, as is most of the building. The memberships now include classes instead of a separate fee, which is nice. They also offer a lot of community events. Easy to find too with plenty of free parking. Be sure to bring your own lock if using the locker room. Very nice establishment, highly recommend checking it out! :
Love the staff....very helpful. The welcome center staff always makes you feel glad to be there. Casey and entire pool staff are great!
I love to go here nice and friendly atmosphere. You can do several things like go to gym, play basketball, walk track, and swim in pool. I wish that they had a second pool for just leisure swimming. I went one time on a very bad day because they had kid swimming lessons and water therapy going on. It was just too much and I stayed on pool for a lil bit and got out.
The gym area seems okay as well as the swimming pool. It's nice that they have a sauna, a steam room, in the hot tub. The biggest complaint I have though is the showers. It's one of those open shower rooms like in high school. Half of them didn't even work. It was almost impossible to shower there because the water would go from burning hot to ice cold. Really takes away from the gym experience when you can even get cleaned up afterwards.
This is the most awful YMCA in the area!! The bathroom always smells horrible. The only reason I am a member is because they have an indoor pool and track. Other than that this place is absolutely AWFUL!!! Out dated and broken workout equipment throughout the entire building. I personally think the funds are miss managed. Contact me if you need any more details. I'm posting again just to let everyone know that Nothing has changed. This place is still nasty and gross!!
It seems that recently this location is staffed by teenaged kids. They're friendly enough and try to be helpful, but really don't know the answers to many basic questions. I guess we all were the new guy somewhere in our lives, but I did get a bit annoyed being asked to come back another day for something trivial. Oh well, I'll live and it's not the end of the world, but it would've been nice to just deal with it while I was there.
This has been a facility that has served the families of the Uniontown Area for over 100 years, almost 35 in this facility that has been improved regularly over the years. Facilities here include The four standard locker room facilities along with pool, gym and workout room, along with racquetball courts and walley ball courts. Tebres outdoor facilities including a new fitness path for those who desire to walk outside opposed to the indoor track.
Very very nice pool and facilities. Love the sauna and steam room. They are installing new weights and equipment.
