Very nice casino, Great atmosphere, lots of slot machines. This place has all the games, roulette, blackjack, and even craps. Very fun and close from anywhere.
I went to Hialeah Park Casino to play poker when I was on vacation in Miami, and i will never return to this poker room again. The property was nice. They have “good” promotions but the cash games are super awkward when everyone at the table is speaking Spanish and you can’t understand them. If they know you can’t understand they’ll speak English until they want to take advantage of you. The guy who folds his hand will give information to someone else heads up against you and you’ll have no clue what’s going on. I’ll stick to going to the hard rock, but if you speak Spanish and want to play sketchy cash games this may be a place for you.
I’m no casino frequenter, but at least three or four times a year. I’ve been to all the local ones in South Florida, but my first time here. I’m kind of surprised, it’s a nice and peaceful casino in a beautiful setting. Make time to go outside to the stands for the horse track and look over the infield and see the link flamingos, they are easy to see. The casino floor is actually quieter than any casino I’ve been to, it’s not overly loud machines blaring. This place is definitely nicer than Gulfstream Casino, by a lot. The food options looked reasonable, if unimaginative. Fair pricing. And where else can you get a Cuban coffee for $1 these days. If you like slots I did see they have a poker area but didn’t go there, definitely give this place a chance.
Clean, and easy to find accessible parking. The machines look well maintained as well. Now for the rest of my very strange experience: We had some individual that was incapable of speech that was interfering with our game; she was literally gesturing in to make plays and bets. It was absolutely bizarre. We let her play along to not be rude, but did try asking security to help with this strange situation. The security was an older gentleman that had a hard time hearing or understanding what I was explaining and he finally yelled out "do you need help?". What do you think? I have a stranger at my machine interrupting my company, and I, during our experience, and using my money play. I guess door duty was his assignment, so I disregarded him and asked a few others for assistance that explained they weren't fluent in English. Finally managed to get the lady away from us and I felt a little bad because something had to be wrong with her, and we concluded the evening. If I return to Miami, I'll be wiser to take the advice on going to Hollywood for the Hard Rock everyone speaks so highly of. It's unfortunate because this casino seemed very nice upon entry.
I had an event for my parents 50th anniversary party. The one in charge luis went out of his way to make everything go perfectly. If there was something missing he went and got it. The staff were very friendly and on point. They kept refilling the drinks and served all the food quickly. The food was also amazing. I give them 5 stars I could not have asked for a better event. I recommend this place for personal or company events as they have different size rooms. Thank you luis and team for making my parents event fantastic!!!
Good ambiance, nice people, friendly, good service. The machines are very tight. If you don’t win a progressive jackpot you will not have a chance to make money, payments are scarce. It’s hard to win in this casino. Even wit all their promotions you wont stand a chance unless you win a progressive jackpot which is very hard.
Really nice casino, many slot machines. It was my 1st visit here, and the players were all so friendly and helpful.
TOURISTS NOT WELCOME Was in Miami and usually play poker at Magic City, last day in Miami decided on a change and went to Hialeah Park Casino in hindsight a huge mistake. Poker room was small with only a couple of tables running but immediately was sat down, so that was good. After about 20 minutes hit a high hand for $300, so so far its going great. Win the high hand and hand over my license from the country I live in, nowhere weird, I live in a small country in the Caribbean, originally from Australia. This is where the insane started. First, they refused to pay based on a drivers license, something no other casino in the USA or any casino I've been to worldwide has ever done, insisting they will only pay with a passport. As I'm leaving early next morning they force me to catch an Uber back to my hotel to grab my passport, and back to the Casino only $30, but why was it even required???. Second, once I get back with my passport, they want me to complete foreign i.e. IRS tax forms, and deduct 30% $90 from the payout. This is not legal as I understand there is an exempt limit before 30% foreign withholding kicks in, which I believe $300 is well below. Throughout all this the staff were rude. The poker floor manager even screaming in my face. The only staff I can say were reasonable was the security officer who took my complaint though no response subsequently received on refunding the $90 stolen by the casino or $30 in unnecessary Uber costs.
Security here has major power trips, especially one particular larger man. Place looks nice but I've heard horror stories from friends and family and didn't believe it until I experienced it myself. Now writing my review. I found myself scrolling through hundreds of people who have had issues with security being unnecessarily aggressive and rude. My interactions with them were short but they were rude enough to ruin the trip. I hope the fat blad guy can sort himself out and find a little bit of happiness. I won't be coming back. There are plenty of casinos.
Really enjoy this casino. It feels like it's newly renovated, everything looks clean and new. It has a roulette with and alot more. They have good live performances, good music. I love that french fries here too. Small wins here feel good. I have seen people winning big too.
