The basketball gym is always rented out even on holidays and ESPECIALLY on off-school weekends. I myself, my friends, and other people I have seen have constantly had to ride back home because the gym has been closed. Why is this a problem? There is no schedule detailing when the gym is open, so we rode all the way there for no reason. They need to appropriately determine when to rent out the gym. A lot of children like me have no basketball goal or court around, this is the only place we can hoop. And we keep being presented with a situation where the one place we can hoop here is never open. You can understand why we are upset. As for the reason I even rated two stars, its because the gym is actually good.
I love this place I’ve went to camp here for three years and it has basketball practices every Monday-Thursday at 6:00 and the pool is fun you can also make tons of friends don’t listen to those bad reviews this place is great
This is a safe place for you and your family to enjoy physical activities. They have an indoor pool and walking track. Gym for basketball and workout sessions. And a children summer camp was open as well. It is behind the Hickory Hill police department. That made me feel safe. And plenty of parking space available. I felt safe walking indoors instead of outside. I'll definitely be back soon to try the water aerobic exercise.
I was at the Hickory Hill Community Center for a Birthday Celebration. The experience there was better than I expected. The facility was clean, staffed with individuals that watched out for the visitors and were helpful. I enjoyed visiting the center. The parking lot, park, and area leading to the park.
When calling this Community Center. No one ever answers the phone. They don't keep a schedule you can depend on when using the pool area. Don't keep enough life guards on duty. Something needs to be done. This is a Community Center. Not a personnel place of convenience for their use.
Great cricket facility
Because it's a wonderful place in the neighborhood where anyone can go and have fun pray swim mentor and be a part of something like a family.
Great for after school activities and they have programs where adults and children can learn to swim.
I don't think the community center building is open right now Aug. 2020, but there's plenty to do outside. Track around a practice football field provides a good place to run or walk laps. There's also a one-mile walking path that goes through a lovely wooded area with bridges over a small creek. Run or bike too! Also features a really nice playground for the kids and lots of wide open space for running and playing. And bring a lunch and enjoy the picnic pavilion.
The community center is a wonderful place to visit. I enjoy swimming for free at the pool and using their workout facility in the morning. There is plenty of space for activities and events. It's cleanly and a nicely decorated facility. What I really love is that the people are polite and helpful. The staff is great, and the citizens of the community are very nice. I live directly behind the community center, in a working class neighborhood. It's full of people from many different backgrounds but we all get along just fine. There are no loitering mischief makers nor neredowells to plague the community. It is peaceful and clean, and welcoming to all. I was a resident before they built the new middle school and community center and park, and I can honestly say that it has improved the community by providing a safe and entertaining place for kids and adults to use for fellowship and fun.
