I have camped at a lot of campgrounds and this was one of my absolute favorite! It is clean, safe and so family friendly. There was no obnoxious people, the staff was above and beyond! Jody and Crystal were very helpful and their customer service was above and beyond. We had the best mother daughter weekend and wished that we could have stayed longer. Will definitely be back. Every camper was fun and friendly. Rooms: Cabins are like new and very clean Safety: Very safe for anyone and for kids to enjoy and play.
We just left Spacious Skies Hidden Creek campground. We had the most amazing time. We went for a mama/sisters weekend. It was the perfect place. We had so much fun. We rented a golf cart which was nice for riding around the campground. Crystal was great and helped us out so much! We felt safe, had a great view and lots of laughs. We couldn't have asked for a better weekend or place. We were able to use the wifi with no problem when needed, but who wants to be on their phones when you're enjoying the views and the company you're with. Thank you again Crystal and Jodi for everything you do to make sure your campers have a great stay! We'll definitely be back. Do we need to leave the baby sister home next time?
We stayed at Spacious Skies hidden creek this past weekend and absolutely loved it! I was hesitant about staying there with some of the reviews I read but I am so glad we gave them a chance! I saw nothing wrong with anything this place has to offer! The grounds were well kept. The staff were all friendly and helpful! Lots of activities to do with the kids and family! We even took some family pics with their beautiful scenery! We enjoyed our stay and will definitely be returning!!! Thank y’all so much for an awesome weekend get away! The Fancher’s
The campground has work being done to it so my rating will not be as fair. I was going to give it 3 stars but I gave it 4 because of the staff. Everyone was so friendly. But the girl doing the games has to be my top pick out of all the campgrounds we have visited! She was amazing with a pool full of children and all of them having such fun! I will definitely be bringing my nephew back here soon. My husband insisted that I add to this and say the staff member that was amazing her name was Melissa. And also the red haired guy who works there was very helpful to my husband and hardworking.
My sister rented a cabin for a couple nights and the whole family came out for a birthday party. The place is beautiful, the pool was nice because it was hot. We were upset over the slide and all the walking so we rented a golf cart. When we went to start the golf cart we had no idea how and it was so hot outside. One of the staff saw us struggling and stopped to help us. She did not know how to work it either and confessed she was a new housekeeper and used to operating gas powered golf carts. However two minutes later she had the cart going and was giving us helpful driving instructions. Later the people next to our cabin gave us probably close to 35 pieces of firewood. That same staff member stopped what she was cleaning and helped us haul all of that wood to our campfire pit. She pointed us to the walking trails, told us about the turtles we had missed completely and even reminded the kids about the games the campground was having. But she really saved the day when it was time to leave and I could not find my house key. She helped us look for it until she found it. I don't know how they train staff at spacious skies but the level of hospitality and customer service was the best I have seen. We will be back for our next trip!
This is our second year camping here. Last years camping experience was fun and pleasant. This year, however was far from it. We understand that construction has to happen to revamp but we feel like it is something that should’ve been done in the off season. Not all the staff was unpleasant to talk to but there were some that were rather sassy and down right rude. We came for the water slide, as I mentioned, we understand that remodeling has to happen but it should’ve been easily seen on the website that the water slide was down for the season. I saw no mention of it not working and when we asked about it when we got here the staff member was extremely rude. The pool was full of bugs. We have had to skim the pool ourselves everyday before we could even get in it. The pool bathrooms have been locked everyday except one and when we told the staff about it there response was that they’ve been unlocked which clearly was a lie. The arcade is pitiful and practically all the games are broken. Although we are disappointed we are going to give the benefit of the doubt and come back next year but if our experience is the same as this years we will not be returning.
We have been coming to this campground for many years but unfortunately this will be our last trip there. Once Yogi bear closed this park has went down hill. The only nice employee there is a short haired lady that works in the office. Our family has always loved to come camping here but was very disappointed this time. The fishing and boating area is completely nasty. Water slide closed. They don't do any activities like they use to. Only good part was the pool and it closed at 7 when it doesn't even get dark till 9. They moved the dumpsters right beside the campsites so you can't enjoy sitting by your campfire without smelling trash. Showers were nasty. The maintenance man was very rude and when he did talk he acted in a threatening manor. If you have kids I would suggest finding a more friendly and safer campground.
Definitely being improved. All roads are paved now and grass everywhere. Older reviews are definitely no longer relevant. We fit in a 42' fifth wheel no issue. Some hills so just need to be comfortable with thoseService: 5/5
Campsite was reasonably well maintained. Before you reserve a site please ask for pictures. I had a very difficult and expensive parking procedure to get into my site. Slide was closed sadly and I had 5 grandchildren with me. Pool closed for 2 days while we were there also. All in all is was a reasonably good week. Nice and quiet. Staff was very helpful.
This is a great campground with lots of amenities. The waterslide was closed, but the pool was great. The kids enjoyed the jumping pillow but the arcade was closed. Lots of folks were fishing and canoeing. The sites in the newer area are VERY spacious and offer lots of room to spread out. If you stay near or in the Overlook section I highly suggest you have a golf cart. This newer section has a fantastic view and would be a great area to stay in. Adding a playground or other amenity on that side of the campground would be great to see. The laundry facilities were good; 2 washers and 2 dryers. They take credit cards or you can pay via an app which is super helpful. The showers had good pressure and the water was hot. The stalls could use more light and there weren't very many hooks. There also wasn't anywhere to set my shower supplies besides on the ground. The staff were all very friendly and nice. I look forward to seeing what additions and new amenities are added in the future.
