The concept for the High Country Training Center was conceived to provide firefighters with a practical and realistic training ground thus, utilizing current methodology and technology in a controlled and safe environment.
The High Country Training Center currently serves the following three fire districts but is available to other emergency response agency's throughout the region.
Copper Mountain Consolidated Metro District
Lake Dillon Fire Rescue
Red, White and Blue Fire Protection District
The High Country Training Center serves to train the Summit County Fire Departments, thus providing our citizens and firefighters a safer community.
The High Country Training Center provides the fire districts of Summit County with one Fire Joint Training and one Medical Joint Training per month, per shift. The Training Center also provides crews the ability to conduct individual crew based trainings on request. The Training Center also hosts many county wide Emergency Management meetings and trainings.
