So I only saw a small portion of what they have due to chaperoning a bunch of kids for a school trip. What I saw was great. We saw the Paris, Samurai and the food court exhibitthese kids were taking about eating as soon as we got here. It's clean and the staff is really friendly. The Paris portion was cool. I'm not an art enthusiast but it was interesting. Now the Samurai exhibit was amazing. It's worth the price to get in just to see that. I loved it. When my oldest comes back for a visit from college in gonna drag the bum down here.
By far the highlight of my recent trip to Atlanta. Wish there was an exhibition of oriental art, but the exhibitions they do have are vast and maintained meticulously. The marble statues are an incredible sight to behold in person and are the results of incredibly talented artists and craftsmen. A great spot to visit even if you aren't super into art, but if you are, make time to spend 2-3 hours here minimum.
The museum is pretty good. Large exhibition space, relatively modern and friendly staff. The $21 entrance fee is a bit high, but I understand that the preservation of history costs money. This museum is recommended.Visited onWeekendWait timeUp to 10 minReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$21–30
A great date night on the third Friday of the month when it's also Jazz night. As folks that aren't big art museum folks we loved spending a Friday night catching some of the live music however it's hard to get a seat unless you arrive early. We enjoyed being able to explore the museum listening to the music and then being able to enjoy a snack & drink afterwards on the outdoor balcony.
Awesome place. I visited on the last day of my business trip. I was here for two hours, but I didn’t have enough time. There are so many beautiful arts.. And the female staff in glasses was so kind and nice.. Thank you!Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo

The staff was so helpful and communicative. I had such an enjoyable experience going through this Richard Meier design and taking in all the fine works. Love-love the Samurai exhibit!Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot surePrice for adult entry$16–20
It is my favorite place in Atlanta. It's very educational for myself and kids. I love to come here just to hang out and drinking coffee. There are tons of restaurants and things to do around it. It is 5 mins walking distance from the metro stationmarta.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$16–20
Looking for a FREE family or date event!!! Well this is one of my favorites. I have enjoyed it so much that I took my daughter when she was still about 10 and she is 26 and my son since he was six months and now 8. The High Museum of Atlanta offers FREE 3rd Saturdays of each month AND some Sundays check their website for more details. But this is DEFINITELY worth driving in circles on Peachtree waiting to get a FREE parking yes , I don’t like paying for lots of things lol!! Luck would have it, I have not paid for parking here, Ever knocking on good ol Georgia wood . They have a handicap ramp for those taking strollers or elders. There is a restaurant on the property and now food truck outside. Some things are expensive so normally I feed us before heading out and pack fruits and snacks. There are seatings outside the museum to take a break and eat. Don’t worry while sitting you will enjoy the various murals outside and off course some old school fun of people watching. And people are hilarious so you won’t be bored or think you’re missing anything by sitting inside. Don’t be in a hurry here!! Kids can sign up for FREE to get a SMARTBOX that blue box in all the pictures… we call it “his briefcase that includes a notebook, pencil, coloring, and a small gift. We have many and now use it to store books, writing items etc in the backseat of my car and another we use to store in my son bathroom and it holds his lotions and sprays and even given some away. Very multi functional!! They used to have more activities for the kiddos but they still had a section for hands on creatives and it served it’s purpose. What I love most is the diversity of this museum, when we visited, the Samurai exhibit was displayed, but there were so many others like African, Europe, Spanish, etc… I love this museum because it helps build a diverse dialogue that can carry on…
Amazing exhibition. The art pieces were arranged very well and the staff was very friendly. They had the samurai exhibit when I went and it was amazing to look at. Highly recommend a visit here.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot sure
