Excellent staff at this store. Entire staff interacted with my son and I at some point during our visit. All were very courteous, helpful and knowledgeable. My only recommendation is that I wish they would carry carhartt cargo pants. Will definitely return to this store!
I've purchased several pair of boots at High Plains and been extremely satisfied with the high level of customer service, the willingness to discuss proper fit, style, durability and use on my boots. I have absolutely no complaints. Everyone who has helped me has been polite, well versed on their product and offered excellent advice. I absolutely will be back...again and again!
Just tried to return a pair of boots for store credit to get a better pair of boots and was refused service as my boots had been worn. They had been worn on hardwood and slate at my home for about 60 minutes - so rather than accept my 'return' and help me upgrade my boots - i was refused and sent packing. What is worse is that i was told that store policy is that boots can only be returned if worn on carpet - that is not on their receipt nor did i see it posted anywhere in the store nor was i made aware of the supposed condition when i purchased my boots. This is just amazing! Don't go there folks - they obviously don't care about the care and feeding of their customers.
Ray was awesome! I have to be careful buying things like work boots because the least little amount of touch in certain areas of my feet will feel like torture after awhile if I'm not careful. Needless to say, Ray was patient and very knowledgeable of the boots and potential irritations to highly sensitive feet. If you want quality boots go to High Plains. Be sure to ask for Ray and tell him I sent ya.
Really neat place. Decided to just pop in and look around, but decided to try and find a pair of boots. Staff was friendly and very helpful, and inspired me as I tried a bunch of pairs. My first time trying a western style boot. Didn't quite find what I wanted, but would go back!
I’m not from this area but saw this store online. Went in today to find boots they had on their website and they were in the store. The store is big and very clean inside. The girl who greeted me help me try on the boots. She was very helpful in finding the right size. I left with the boots I was looking for! Great experience!
They have a wide selection and everyone is super nice! They do have a strict return policy, but they post it everywhere, so it shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone. If you’re there to browse it may seem like the salespeople are hovering, but they just want to be helpful, especially since boot shopping can be overwhelming if you don’t know what you’re looking for.
No Women's wear - everything was moved to another store. This store only carries Men's Western gear. Would be nice if the name and signage changed before customers make a trip there. But from what I could see, they have a good selection for guys and the employees seemed nice.
Bought great pair of work boots and they matched lower price on Amazon. I had trouble deciding on size. I didn't have thick socks on at the store. They said as long as I wore them inside on carpet I could exchange for next size. Wore them at home that afternoon with thicker socks and decided on the next size up. Went back next day and exchanged them with no problems. Very helpful sales staff.
Do not do business with this place. I bought a pair of jeans, took them home, tried them on, and realized they were too tight. With receipt and all the labels on them, I took them back for a refund and they refused to take them back! They said the manufacturer Wrangler would not take them back since they've been worn. What nonsense. Avoid shopping at High Plains if you don't want to get ripped off like I was.
