High Point Theatre

Initially the only tickets remaining for my event Miss NC Teen Pageant were single seats/ not together and one was in the last row JJ of the balcony. I purchased what was available as this was an event that I could not miss and was supporting a family member. However, upon arrival, there were additional seats available. This was an immediate red flag, as the event was previously “sold out” and did not allow for refunds or exchanges, so how were there now multiple seats available for purchase? It felt as if we were scammed into buying undesirable seats. What made it worse was that, despite knowing others who were allowed to exchange their seats despite the no refund/exchange “policy”, when we asked about an exchange, we were flat out lied to and told that there were no seats together to exchange to. When we showed the representative that there were in fact two sets of seats together available online, she then told us that we could not exchange our tickets at all and had to buy two additional tickets. At the exact time that we were asking about an exchange, another woman was at another window asking about exchanging her ticket for a better seat and was not told that she couldn’t exchange hers. While not saying this was the reason, it is notable that she and the venue staff were white and we are black. We ended up buying the additional tickets to be able to sit together in a better location, and are glad that we did. When we got inside and checked the original ticket locations, the balcony seating provided limited visibility, was not ADA accessible, and should probably not ever be sold. Overall the dishonesty of the venue and differential treatment of the venue staff was unacceptable.

Great theater. Lots of space and easy to see the stage from many areas. Would have loved better parking options, though.

This small theater is a gem! They have a wide variety of fun & affordable events. When purchasing tickets online, I was unhappy with the service fee. I called the theater and 1. Someone answered !, 2. They were extraordinarily pleasant and 3. They were very helpful. They explained I could buy the tickets over the phone, pick them up at Will Call and avoid the service fee since I was purchasing multiple tickets it added up to a hefty sum. I highly recommend supporting the High Point Theater. A great venue with great people.

Last night, my son and I went to watch the 2023 Triad Has Talent. The music was OUTSTANDING! We LOVE music! It was like watching five AWESOME mini concerts, that left you wanting more! This was our first time at the theater and it was WONDERFUL and so were all the staff and volunteers. I feel like we've stumbled upon a local hidden treasure! I can't believe we haven't visited sooner! We plan to go back for many more shows. Thank you High Point Theater for the EXCELLENT Entertainment!

High Point Theatre has been awesome in the past and is stiil holding on to its superior quality status as it continues moving forward into our future ! BRAVO & ENCORE! to MATILDA Cast, Orchestra & Crew! A great show and an enjoyable time at High Point Theatre!! Ashby& Linda Brown

Beautiful place, great parking, excellent staff, the only down fall was sounds people did not have mic's set right for various parts of show for The Machine in Concert

Great Event Held Miss NC USA Pageant 2018-2019 at High Point Theatre. Excellent access and parking close to facility!

This is a great spot for family get togethers where people can see some live action entertainment! My roomate was quintuple casted in the most recent A Christmas Carol! Bathrooms were clean when we visited though a little dim near the back. The seats for the performance seemed a little run down but were comfortable! Parking was super easy to find and it was a quick walk to and from the theater. Overall 4/5 stars!

Nice clean theatre. Friendly staff. Plenty of comfortable seating. Wheel chair accessible.

Very nice venue. Comfortable seating, good view in the auditorium, easy access to restrooms, close and ample parking.
