Great spot for kayaking… there is a sink with running water to care for you catch! Pay attention to gate open/close times.
Always a great place to visit and spend good quality time with family, friends, or jst by yourself. There are basketball courts, tennis courts, a great playground. But most of all my favorite is the fishing. Spend a day out here and relax.
It is a unique park in including Baseball Fields, Playground, Canoeing, Hiking/Nature Trail, Bird Sanctuary w/ Bird Watching, Observation Deck, Public Rental of Pavilion,  Tennis/Basketball Court, Large Parking Area, Horseshoe Pit, Shelters with Bar-B-Que Facilities.
Nice spot… I picked a windy day so I’ll be back on a better day… wasn’t real busy but maybe if weather was nicer might be more people. Park is very nice.
Went to the bayou bash if you like overpriced carnival food go, but don't worry there was a barbecue cook-off and if you were family friends or VIP you could go over and get a plate of delicious barbecue and potato salad and a beer. But if you are a regular person you get overpriced carnival food,$5 beers, and you don't get no brisket. There must have been 30 barbecue grills cooking and that food was not for the general public, you could smell it but you couldn't have it, you can watch them walk by with their plates but you don't get none, not even for sale only for special people. I'm not a friend of barbecue cook-offs that only feed their family friends and vip's.
My new favorite place. Good for crabbing or just light fishing.
Great festival to go to with the kids. They had pumpkin carving contests...zip lining...food, music and so much more.
We had food fishing and such a lovely time even though it rained off and on all day. Bathrooms should of been cleaner though. I cleaned once or twice to use it even though many people don't care at least my group I was with do. Excellent day and had a lot of fun . the ones fishing caught nothing so the fish are lucky and can live in their environment for another day. First time in this area in many years I use to go to another part of the park and the nature out there is so peaceful and serene.
Always fun to fish here if you want a spot that’s not busy and crowded, here it is. You can park and have your own spot to fish
Pros: Such a nice spot for fishing. I almost don't want to give this place 5 stars because I want to keep this spot for myself. Didn't get hung up once. Caught some nice ones. Place is really clean and the pier is easy to get to and easily accessible for people with a disability. Cons: The only problem was that I was landing a school of specks and then a family started cast netting right next too me and spooking the fish. I wish people would learn about respecting personal space and to be considerate of others. I mean after casting in the same spot for 20+ minutes and catching nothing, you'd think to get the hint after the 2nd or 3rd cast.
