From previous experience, not so long ago,I had a very poor opinion of the hospital. This changed my opinion in just one visit!! Dr Hughes was wonderful, though I can admit at first meeting I just knew she was gonna be more of the same from here. Man was I so very wrong!! I was treated wonderfully Care and kindness should be requirements in order to grad nursing school. Thank you guys for taking suck good care of on a night I just wanted to be over with.
My last name experiences suck doctors and nurses was super rude with no bed side manner. But my last visit was much better the doctor was very sweet he was polite. The nurses were nice and had good bed side manner they actually made you feel like why wanted to help. Except a nurse Hunter he has no bed side manner anytime I’ve ever seen him at work he seems miserable like he hates his job I think you picked the wrong Career bro.
The lady at the front desk was awesome, but Kathy the nurse that checked us in was not friendly at ALL. I felt that she was RUDE and should not be checking no one in. She even got up and closed the door on a coworker who was in the hallway talking with someone, which the door should have been closed from the start. The nurse and the doctors In the back was great. The lady that discarded us at the window was Awesome.
I visited the emergency room because I had cut my finger badly on an electric meat slicer. I was unable to stop the bleeding after several hours. I am 73 yrs old with heart problems and take blood thinners as part of the treatment. Everyone was courteous and efficient. They immediately recognized that my injury was potentially serious. They rushed me into triage and into the ER. Rocky was great as was the nurse who assisted her. They got the bleeding stopped and discharged me as quickly as could be expected. Thanks to everyone for their care and professionalism.
Kept me there way too long. Was there for 5 hours for an Albuteral treatment with only 2 patients and 6 staff. A slow as a Saturday's night you could imagine. Yet the staff, who out numbered the patients was having a great time cracking jokes and making me wait and wait while having a great ole time. Good time guys.
We showed up after the Christmas parade, it was dead in there, so we had a very pleasant experience, quick, easy, foot was X-ray quickly, and when I say quick it was like an hour and a half, which is quick considering everything that has to be done. I’m sure other patients came in after us and when we left, I believe an ambulance was arriving. Every experience is different there, but this one was pretty perfect!
The wonderful staff in the emergency room saved my life. I was having a heart attack at home alone so I drove myself there just in time. They were courteous & efficient, their ER department worked like a well oiled machine. After getting me stabilized they waisted no time getting me transported to a hospital with a cardiac unit. Thank you guys from the bottom of my heart.
Nurse Jason was wonderful and very patient with my daughter. It was her first IV line ever and she has anxiety... he was very patient and made her laugh. The hospital addressed our concerns and sent my daughter home feeling much better. It was a really good experience considering the circumstances. We were very pleased with her care, thank you!
I went in very sick with my heart racing i'm on heart meds and was treated like a lepar not even allowed to use the bathroom. they swabbed me in triage for COVID and the flu and put me in a room. An EKG was ordered the lady came in did the EKG hooked me up to the other monitors told me someone would be in shortly probably to put an IV in. I waited about 20 mins no one ever came to put an IV in the NP came in listened to my lungs and left. I had to use the restroom so I buzzed the nurse. I waited 15 mins and no one ever came to unhook me to go to the restroom. A lady finally comes in looks at me says we sent your meds to the pharmacy you ready to go. I asked what was wrong with me and she looked at me and said Oh no one told you that you have COVID. I said no just like no one came when I buzzed 20 mins ago that I needed to use the rest room. She shut the door and walked away. About 5 mins after she walked out the NP opens the door stands in the hallway and says you have COVID have a nice day and feel better. If this is the way the staff treats sick ppl then they need to get a new staff. Especially if they can't let a patient use the restroom when they need to
Went in for tightness and chest discomfort..They took some blood work, Did an EKG..Said I was okay nothing life threatening..Just sent me on my way..next morning I was still uncomfortable..I decided to another Hospital get Checked..They spent more time with me,ran more test, kept me overnight for observation to make sure it wasnt nothing life threatening..felt more comfortable leaving the other Hospital than Highland! Not trying bad Month Highland Hospital at all But they do need some improvements
