Predatory scam. The property manager Norma Wolfe allows you to make out a check for the legit fees when moving in and then she says you have extra stuff to pay and makes you go get a money order and tells you to leave it blank so that she can take the money and you'll never question it because she makes it sound legit. Then when you do move in expect yearly rent increases that are different for everyone, park rules that only apply to those who aren't friends with maintenence, and dogs running loose that noone does anything about. And then...when you do move out expect them to continue charging you for rent for many months to come until settled in court even though they know that you moved out.
I love the quaint country setting of Highland Estates. My dog acts like a different dog here. She was so stressed by the noise in our old place and now she’s so calm. The neighborhood is friendly. Some of my favorite people live here and Jessica in the office is so helpful. The entire staff treats me like family. I’d highly recommend Highland Estates to anyone looking for a great country living at an affordable price!
Terrible experience for the few months of living there. First off they said no pets were allowed yet the main bedroom smelled terribly like cat urine. Not only did they tell me they cleaned it, but I personally cleaned it 3 times with my own carpet cleaner. To no avail as expected the smell never went away. The place was dirty and smelled upon initial move in. Dishwasher and stove didnt work, took them a week to get the stove working over a week for the dishwasher. My front screen door would open without me Jerry rigging it to work, they would not repair it. I Had a Hornets nest in the tree of my front yard the size of a medium suitcase they never ultimately removed, I ended up having to do it. Field mice were running all through my place eating through small items to get to food as well as leaving droppings. They claimed it was my responsibility to catch them. The place was temporary until four months later bought my new house and moved in. In the 4 months I used the place as a crash pad I slept about 25 nights total, I never even moved in furniture. I left the place much cleaner and in better shape than when they gave it to me yet they kept my full deposit claiming bogus items of repairs. They are nothing but a low budget company with poor management and scamming methods. My neighbors did nothing but complain and were planning to move on as well, their biggest complaint was the constant raising of the lot rents and lack of repairs. Highly do not recommend this place for renting or purchasing.
I used to live here and it was an all-around great house and neighborhood. It was pretty quiet and I liked taking walks through the community. The house had a large front porch, which was especially nice during the spring/summer. Definitely recommend!
Neighbors are polite and 9 times out of 10 stay to themselves don’t see that many young kids. One thing that I don’t care for is that the pool hours are not great and the person that opens and closes it picks when or even if they keep it open, though the paper says it would be open. The park they have isn’t much and little toddlers can’t play on it.
I love it here. Great location, no trouble, safe and well maintained. Provided mulch and paint for me to spruce up my yard and maintenance issues are seen to right away with no trouble. Really great and reliable.
Great and safe place to live, much better than any apartment as far as space and price! Everyone in the office is so friendly and maintenance is quick and efficient every time I have needed something.
Beautiful and quiet place to live. Neighbors are friendly and everything is well taken care of. Never had any issues in 5+ years.
To many rules on the people who own a mobile home and rent the lot. It's worse then renting an appointment. Kid's run all over in everyone's yard. Most spot's have no cell reception. And no parking for company.
