We are a 100% volunteer, donation funded fire department. We proudly serve several hundred families that live in our fire protection district.
At Highland Volunteer Fire Department, we strive to be the best department possible. We proudly serve several hundred members in our fire protection district 365 day a year, 24/7. We are also constantly trying to improve ourselves, and equipment, through constant training, maintenance, and equipment upgrades. What we do is simple, fight fires, anything from a fully engulfed structure fire, to a small burning patch of grass. We also respond to vehicle accidents, trees down across the road, and other various emergencies. We are staffed by dedicated volunteers, many of which are certified firefighters by the Kentucky State Fire Commission, and the rest are on their way!
If you are interested in becoming a firefighter, stop by on our meeting date, the second Tuesday of each month!
