Very cool little museum teaching about The C.C.C. and their involvement in Florida's State Parks. The volunteer was extremely knowledgeable and eager to answer any questions. If you're in the park, definitely worth the stop.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo wait
A hidden gem tucked away in the trees, very knowledgeable staff and loads of history. A stop at this museum will give you a better appreciation of the park by providing a wonderful historic context that just can't be found anywhere else.
A very well put together display. Good amount of history and lots of photos.

My late grandfather Charles Norman French was part of the CCC. Stationed in the 1930s in Arkansas, My dad and I took a trip to this park and museum because we've been trying to learn more about the CCC as well as the history of my late grandfather. I felt very honored to visit a museum showing what my grandfather was part of, and I plan to visit again along with other parks in the state.
There is a $6 per vehicle charge to enter the park and no charge to see museum. Exceptionally done, interesting for all ages. Video in rear was very informative.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entryFree
What a wonderful place! You see evidence of the CCC's work throughout the US, but I've never seen so much information on the group itself as I did here. Free entry with your park admission, and it is absolutely worth your time. Friendly staff, excellent displays, and abundant details about the CCC, its work at Highlands Hammock, other Florida state parks, and elsewhere in the country.
We had a very knowledgeable volunteer staff showing us around!
Ranger Lois was a terrific guide and the history was fascinating
