We are forced to use Hilco. No other option where we live. We didn't use to have issues BUT as of the past year or so our bills have DOUBLED. So because of the high bills $350-500 at times I have had to try and somehow budget how to pay this all on top of everything else. We have always communicated with them and have sometimes had to ask them if they can extend ours a couple days for payday to pay the full amount. We have always paid when we said we would. Well we called them today, probably our 3rd time needing to push it out literally 2 days and they told us we can't do that anymore. You can see our payment history, yet you're so greedy, you can't wait two extra days for the other half of our payment. We are trying to keep our head above water just like most people. Maybe people could pay their bills on time and in full if they weren't so HIGH. Its ridiculous. I hope the day comes where we can choose who we use. I'm sure this complaint will be looked over like they all are. Be better, We are all trying to pay our bills...
Co-op scam artists still trying to hang onto their monopoly. I have been with this electric service for around 15 years due to not being allowed to choose the electric company in which I would like to do business. Should be illegal in the great state of Texas. I would highly advise not to move where this company reigns. Electric bills will double overnight. Stay far away.
We recently setup a new Hilco account and our bill seemed to be incorrect. Mark from Itasca offered to meet us at the property and go through it with us. Moreover, he even drove by last night and this morning to check if any lights were set to automatically turn on and off. He went above and beyond!
Called to speak with someone, our electric was off and the bill was paid. The representative we spoke with was Lacy. Lacy, was very condescending & rude the entire phone call. On a positive note they did get the electric turned back on quickly after our not so lovely phone call.
Just got my first bill.... This is Asinine!!! $70 in fees on top of their Crazy per kWh rate! .14 This should be illegal. We need Power to Choose!

This electric company is the worst company I have ever had to deal with! They cut us off without giving any kind of notice and made us pay $100 security deposit and a $50 turn off and a $50 turn back on amount. They give no leniency with your power and our Bill is never under $200 a month. I really wish our area would cut them out and make it to where we can have our own company service our electric. Because trust me we would not have this service. Oh and your deposit will be outrageous!!!! Even with good credit. They are definitely a money hungry company!
This light company is the worst! This is like being bound to a life or death contract. Oncor is so much better with a variety of options to choose from. You NEVER know what your bill will be. The fees vary depending on the robbery this company commits. Someone needs to really close this company. The owners should be ashamed of this disgraceful company. You give your customers no choices or good customer service. All while charging an arm and leg. Deposits whenever you want to this is by far the worst. I am about to pay on or a few thousand to be rid of this foolery.
Hilco has always been on time when we have had a power issue. The field technician are polite, efficient and take care not to damage property. We have never had an issue with anyone at Hilco. Thanks so much for great service.
