Description

Hillcrest Family Services was founded in 1896 by Nancy Hill, the first woman to practice Medicine as the Women’s Rescue Society in Dubuque, Iowa. After 75 years taking care of unmarried mothers and their children, Hillcrest’s leaders realized that something needed to be done to prevent unintended pregnancies in help desperate man and women who would not have the financial or social structure to raise a child. Hillcrest decided to go one step forward to protect family, by founding the Family Planning Clinic in 1971.

Since its very beginning, the Family Planning Clinic has partnered with FPCI (Family Planning Council of Iowa).

Since 1993, we have performed 13,015 Pap Smears, 21,647 Std testing, 16,172 Well Man/ Well Woman visits, 8,644 Pregnancy Tests and Counseling, 12,814 Breast Exams and now we are expanding to Primary Care and Pediatric Services!
