I drove Chuck Jordans Monster truck in the 4th of July Parade for the Hillsboro Optimist Club . The problem I was worried about was the drive on public streets to the parade and then back to Gratteries with a truck that clearly was not street legal and took up 2 lanes of traffic . What really impressed me was the extremely friendly and positive attitude from the numerous Hillsboro Police Officers we met along the way . And to top it off , on the way back a Hillsboro Police Officer who was in front of us stopped , came back and asked us if he could help get us to our destination ! He even went so far as to block traffic to help us get to where we were going ! What an awesome bunch of Guys !
Great job catching the parolee on a spree last night within several blocks of my home. I've had to call the Hillsboro Police and Washington Co several times the past 5 years. Totally professional each and every time. Those critical of first responders should try riding a shift for 10 hrs and see how a true professional handles deadly hazards and unbelievable frustration. In spite it all, they will come full force when you call. Remember - you don't know what you don't know.
These guys are legit. I have never had such a wonderful interaction with police. I needed help, and they helped me! They could have arrested me, instead they helped me get home. The BEST definition of Protect and Serve. You did your job well Officers. You saved me. Thank you for your service and compassion! It's so much better to help than punish!
Zero Professionalism or respect for private businesses. When a hotel is having issues where someone is causing disturbances and the individual is asked to leave multiple times and the officers barely even talk to the person or assess the situation before immediately saying that it isn't worth their time, and now the hotel is most likely going to end up refunding everyone for that night because no one was able to sleep because of this individual, you know the cops only show up so they can technically write it off on their paperwork as an attempt so they can move on to another item to do the same thing and get paid. Completely ridiculous. The officers in Tillamook are much more professional and actually help when called unlike these unprofessional, sorry excuses for law enforcement. If you treat your local private business like this and become the reason they lose that much money just so you can get a little bit for yourself, you don't deserve to wear that badge.
Hillsboro PD, why is it when I google dispatch, It brings up you guys when you do not dispatch? Can you guys fix that with google? Maybe make it when people type in ‘non emergency Hillsboro’ it doesn’t bring your Pd up, it should just bring dispatch up. Or, at least make a phone tree that if people do call in we can press a number to be transferred to dispatch….
Went in to report cops for what I understood as them breaking the law, to which the sergeant I spoke to not only entertained the idea, but heard me out and pointed out the applicable ORS. There were 4 applicable ORS and the 3 that I had read implied it was illegal, when in fact it wasn't. Based off my interaction with this sergeant I changed my review from 1 star to 4, I only wish the entire police force conducted themself like him.
I was recently pulled over for speeding. My fault no argument there. I received my ticket. My 4yr.old nephew was in the backseat he was afraid his Auntie was going to get taken to jail. Officer A. Garcia reassured him it was all good. My nephew asked for a sticker, the officer apologized and said he was all out of them. We said goodbye. Story over. But a week later I got an envelope in the mail from officer Garcia with stickers and tattoos in it. That just made my day. What a nice officer to remember my nephew. Of course had to use the tattoos right away.
I live in South Dakota and my Daughter and her baby live in Hillsboro. I woke up this morning seeing a Facebook message from my daughter saying in the middle of the night the carbon monoxide detector went off but she didn't smell anything. I tried multiply times to call her with no luck. I called the Hillsboro Police and they checked on her. To my relief they were Ok. Can't thank this Police department enough. They were as concerned as much as I was and happy to see they were alright. What a great bunch of officers!! I can tell you how much I appreciate their help.
My daughter just had her tire pop while traveling back from Austin and these two officers with the Hillsboro Police Department totally came through for her! They were in cop car #1466. Thank you for being there for her!!!
In my opinion, The majority of the 127 sworn members of this law enforcement agency lack professional skills necessary to competently perform their jobs in any way that could be considered appropriate. Furthermore these aforementioned civilian peace officers are enforcing outdated unethical policies that may be contributing toward the very problems that plague this city instead of finding viable long term solutions. In my opinion the gross misconduct perpetrated by these seemingly undereducated officers reinforces my speculation and logical conclusions that if internal affairs as well as officials, city's councel members and the governor's representatives for the state continue to fail to rectify this ongoing problem then further involvement on a federal level will become necessary proving the concern of incompetence to be true while bringing negative attention to the city on a national level. Wake up Oregonian citizens raise your voices dont allow violations of our constitutional rights to go unpunished. Do not sit idle and permit corruption to remain on the payroll. Seek legal representation if you suspect your rights may have been violated. Take a stand to help ensure a bright tomorrow for all Oregonians. Shame on you Hillsboro police department, city oficials and state representatives that turn a blind eye.
