Called to make reservations coming in from out of state for work and was informed that my trailer is TO OLD for their camp sites I've never in my years of RVing have ever heard of such a thing the lady that I spoke with began to tell me that all campsites are doing this I've been to over 40 camp sites and have spoke to maybe 50 campsites and this is the 1st I have ever heard that my 2010 Travel trailer is to old for there campsites guess this must be Something I will look into
The owner has sold this place and is no longer fixing stuff that needs repair. I have heard that they are putting a data center and condos in it's place. So say goodbye to Gainesville forest. It was a nice place but the owner got $270,000,000.00 from what I have heard.
I see a lot of comments here from people who aren't considering what this place is. What it IS: • Extended stay/long term • great for people traveling for work, who need a place to park and appropriate hookups • reasonably priced. • sufficient amenities with on site laundry. • in town, and close to any shopping, restaurants. What it is NOT: • A vacation destination. If you're looking for an RV "Resort" feel, this isn't the place. • rich in amenities. No pool, gameroom, gaming yard, etc. It does have a laundry room though. • spacious. There are a lot of sites in this park . Most sites are just big enough for your rig and tow vehicle. Your neighbors will be close. Please consider what kind of place you want before coming here or writing a review. My experience here has been positive so far, but I travel for work. I simply need a place to park with full hookups. Close neighbors,or extra noise from being in town doesn't bother me. If you are looking for a vacation destination for your family, you'll probably be disappointed. Look at the many state parks and historical parks in this area if that's what you want. I would recommend this place for the following travelers: 1. Workers/traveling nurses/etc. Iglf you live in your rig while working, this kind of park is great for you. 2. In town to visit family, where focus is on something other than where you are staying. This place is a good option. 3. Looking for a monthly site. 4. Less focused on the park as a destination, and more focused on its utility because you are in town for a purpose, not a vacation. If you're going to stay here, consider the type of traveling you are doing, and what you expect from your stay. This is a utilitarian park with a lot of long term RVs and traveling workers. If you're wanting a spacious, vacation feel from your rv park, this may not be your place. I'm leaving 4 stars because I've certainly stayed in nicer utilitarian parks....but I've also seen a lot worse. For me, this is exactly what I need. No frills, basic amenities, full hookups.
This place is absolute trash. Campers packed in like a storage lot. Tv cables running everywhere and no WiFi or amenities to justify the amount that they charge. I am up here working for several years and they told me I couldn’t have my camper there because it’s to old. There are campers falling apart in there that are from the early to mid 90s. Mine is a 2002 one owner mint. The lady that manages the place is extremely rude and said if the owners let me stay then she would quit lol. Would not recommend this place to my worst enemies
Great park for long term; it is a working park! Laundromat, restrooms and showers on site. Right in town so close to restaurants and grocery stores.
Nice place. Love the wildlife there. Peaceful and quiet, except for the train. Lol. But thats not their fault.
Just called to talk to someone about rates and they told me its under contract and being sold....not your answer for RV extended stay
Great place to live!! Super convenient!! Great honest owners!! Affordable housing. Nice ponds and trees throughout the park! Has a laundromat. Each spot has electric and sewer hookup!! Close to McDonald's and 7-11 in walking distance. Great place that anyone would be lucky and blessed to call home!!
Discriminates against older RVs and travel trailers even though they haven't seen it. We have been in and out of campgrounds for 2 years with our 2006 travel trailer and never an issue or complaint.
Not a bad park as far as parks go. Road coming in has some pot holes and there's 3 speed bumps that aren't marked and if you forget that they are there you'll know it. But people are friendly and everyone looks out for there neighbors no loud partys pretty calm and quiet. Not bad place.
