The hotel is located in a great area. The staff were very nice. The hotel itself was filthy. Mold all over the bathroom, the shower head had such a thick layer of mold, it was even on the mirror. The curtains had brown stains on them, the television did not work. The kids used the pool so I went to wash our things and the laundry room looked like it was a dumpster. I tried speaking to someone nothing happened. I contacted customer service and nobody responded.
I would definitely suggest The Hilton Garden Inn if you want to plan an even just an overnight stay at one of the casinos. Terrific price being so close to Foxwoods. Clean and well maintained. Food was delicious and the staff were all excellent and attentive! Great convenience of being able to check in thru the app and get a digital room key. Thanks for the great experience!
The jacuzzi off button wouldn't shut off the jets, tried for 20 minutes to do this. Their is mold on the wall panels inside the room, called down to front desk asked for a extra blanket they forgot my room number when I said it twice my room number to the gentleman. Was not very happy and satisfied with my stay. I will never stay at your hotel again. Nearby activities: The only thing was a plus is the casino is not even 2 minutes away
While the room decor may be a little outdated, the grounds, location and food were nothing but top notch! We choose this hotel because it was pet friendly and close to Foxwoods and Mystic. It was very relaxing during our mid-week stay. Nearby activities: 3 minute drive to Foxwoods, 14 minute drive to Mohegan Sun. 22 minute drive to Mystic Seaport and downtown. Walkability: Grounds are beautiful. Food & drinks: Food was excellent.
When I checked into the hotel, I went to take a shower in the room. There was so much soap from cleaning I damn near killed myself. It was so slippery, I spun around, fell On my arms, ribs and hip so bad that it was hard walking today. When I cough my ribs are sore as well. I stay at Hilton hotels almost exclusively and this to me is unacceptable. I was told by the front desk staff that the owner would be calling me today to discuss and never received the call. I’d expect something better. Safety: When I checked into the hotel, I went to take a shower in the room. There was so much soap from cleaning I damn near killed myself. Sean at the front desk was fabulous! The bed was a bit hard, and it was very creaky! It would be great if the rooms were stocked with multiple packets of sugar and creamer. We were there for its proximity to Foxwoods, far cheaper stay than at the casino. It was a perfectly fine stay. Thanks, Sean!Rooms: 4/5
Came here for the Chicago concert. Was able to get a free upgrade to a more spacious room with a Jacuzzi which we enjoyed. Breakfast Made To Order was exemplary Done. Distance to Mohegan Sun was convenient. A hint of smoke was detected by my olfactory senses, but overall, an excellent hospitality experience. Highly recommend!
It was overpriced for what you get. We went on a weekend, so we knew going in that it would be more expensive, but we’re willing to pay since our experience with Hilton hotels in general have been positive. We booked a king size bed and what we got was very clearly a queen. When we questioned it, we were told it’s a “standard hotel king and they are smaller than normal kings”. We have stayed in plenty of hotels and have never had this issue. Additionally our room smelled like marijuana enough to wake me up in the morning. We called and were given extra rewards points toward a future stay but that still doesn’t make up for the $400 charge for one night. Reception staff were friendly enough, location was nice and it was clean but cannot Say we will be staying again.
The Service was regular wasn't bad but wasn't amazing. I checked in with my family for one night. We entered our room and my 3 year old immediately said "mommy I don't like it". Well neither did I. I tried not to complain but I had to call downstairs to see if I could cancel my stay and go back to the previous hotel I was at the day before. Unfortunately, I was told once I checked in, I couldn't check out. Didn't notice the television that's how small it was and the remote was OLD! I believe the one night stay was $277 and it was definitely not worth it. The location is nice as it's only 2 minutes away from the casino. But the Hilton corporation in general needs a major upgrade as it's not the first one I stayed in this past year that needed a major upgrade. Fool me once Shame on you, fool me twice Shame on me!
