We love the Christmas treats, an annual tradition. Selection is hit or miss due to supply chain issues.
This place has everything from German chocolate and cookies to cheese, sausage, spices and seasonings. They also have one of my personal favorites, banket Dutch pastry filled with almond paste. And they have some items that make good gifts like teacups or decorations. Lots of hard-to-find items that are really special treats!

I don’t think people of Elkhart realize how lucky they are to have great place like this nearby. They’ve always been wonderful and full of treats from the Fatherland.
I love this store ...it's like being ten years old again with my German mother! Whatever I didn't see on the shelves, when I asked the storekeeper, he said oh yes, I have that... and went and got it for me. The prices are very competitive with mail-order German products and their selection of candy for my grandchildren is excellent!! Definitely worth a trip from Michigan a few times a year.
This is a great store that we've visited frequently. Authentic cheeses and meats that you can't find anywhere else. I love getting stollen and the ginger cookies are delicious! The lady that runs it is super nice, sweet and knowledgeable about German culture.
This sweet German store has been serving the public for years..everything top of the line from delicious German food to delicately made cuckoo clocks. I was a teenager when Himmel Haus first opened...love it even more now. This store is a treasure, one of the few family owned stores that hasn't been taken over by big box stores. Please keep this store open...it is a bit of Heaven.
