The Hinds Hospice Thrift Stores were created as a way of giving to the communities we serve. The stores also help defray a substantial potion of our un-reimbursed cost of comfort care.
Description
The thrift stores accept most gently used items, provided they are non-perishable, non-toxic and in good working order. We cannot accept mattresses or partially used medical supplies. Every donation helps, whether it's an antique dining set or a pair of gently worn shoes. If you are unsure wheither your donation is acceptable or not, simply visit or call a store. Staff and volunteers are always happy to answer your questions.
If you would like to volunteer at a Hinds Hospice thrift store, it's easy! Just visit the store you wish to volunteer in and speak to one of our representatives. You will fill out a short application that provides us with information about yourself and the store manager will train you to perform your duties. Whatever you have to offer that might help the Hinds Hospice mission is welcomed and appreciated.
All of the proceeds from each of our thrift stores go toward the mission of Hinds Hospice, supporting the many programs and services we provide to our patients and their families. Help us create stronger stores for the community by making store donations, volunteering or shopping!
