The exhibits on life as a mining town of 1874 cover a wide variety of items. Everything from town lay out, blacksmith, firefighter equipment, an old cubbose, Dr. Office, Country clerks office, clothes & a kids play house. We've been coming to Lake City for nine years and have never stopped at the museum until this year. We had a great time seeing all the exhibits. It's worth the time to check it out!

This museum has an amazing collection of historical items. The gentleman at the desk gave us a very detailed tour. We learned a lot about the local history. One of the best local history museums I've ever been to.

We enjoyed a very informative and entertaining geology program that was really more of a history, socioeconomic, and cultural seminar on SW Colorado. Definitely do it again, too!

Great local history museum. Catch a ghost tour if you are in Lake City on a Friday. Nice displays and good gift shop selection.

Amazing museum!!!! Family friendly for all ages! Great seek and find game- kept our boys busy for an hour allowing us to read and soak up all the wonderful history! Thank you!!!!
