As both a buyer and a seller, I LOVE this shop!! Great selection on the sales floor - the garments are all in style, in great condition, and reasonably priced. They have fitting rooms to try items on in store before you buy. I always feel safe and respected here, especially bc the staff are so kind and friendly! Selling process is quick and easy - I brought my items in, they took about 15 minutes going through them, and they bought 20 out of the 25 items I brought in! They are very selective about what they buy though, so if you want to sell clothing I suggest checking their website for some guidelines and to see what they already have in stock. Definitely stop in and take a look for yourself, there's something for everyone at Hips!
Hips Resale Boutique is my happy place: Full of high quality, fashionable, comfortable clothing, shoes, and accessories for folks L-4x+. The atmosphere is lively but low key---the store is organized beautifully, with fun music, and lots of great finds that you'd be hard pressed to get anywhere else. Best of all are the staff who make you feel like family. If you can't shop in person, you can shop their Facebook live sales on Monday afternoons and Thursday evenings. These days I pretty much get my whole wardrobe here for a fraction of the price I'd pay shopping ordinary retail. Go for the fashion, stay for the vibes and more fashion. Don't sleep on this gem of a store!
Looking for women's clothing at a great price? Check out HIPS for sizes large and up, including plus sizes. Great selection of brand name clothes, shoes and accessories at reasonable prices. Super friendly and helpful staff!
HIPS is such an amazing store! The environment is the best! Very body positive, and makes you feel confident trying on any piece of clothing! I highly highly highly suggest going here!

I went into Hipps today after making an appointment to have them look at some clothes I had. Everything was hung or neatly packed into a plastic container. They asked me to wait or come back after 20-30 minutes so they could take a look. When I came back everything was thrown into the plastic bin. I was told they couldn’t take the larger sizes because they didn’t sell. So there were still a pile of clothes. They gave me a price without any list of the garments they took. I asked if they took the boots I brought in, she seemed confused then said yes and the tennis shoes. I took the money they offered but when I got home I realized they had taken 4 sets of shoes, tops and jewelry. Yes, my fault I will not be back.
As a long time customer, I adore this store and the people that work there! I get so many random compliments from strangers on my clothing. I always tell them to check them out when they are in downtown Clawson. 14 mile/Livernois. As a plus size person, I appreciate having choices for new pieces. From size 12 to a 4x, there is amazing variety and always in the current season you’re shopping for. Do yourself a favor and check them out!
Nice well taken care of used clothing. The ladies here are very nice.
Do not waste your time! I waited almost 2 months for an appointment to sell clothes. They spent a few minutes going through them and then ended up passing on ALL items. Their reason "They're over used". Isn't this a resale shop? Meaning used clothes?!?!? Not to mention some of my items still had tags on them and/or have been in my closet since the start of the pandemic. They also said they aren't buying pants right now, it would have been nice to know that before I brought in 15 pairs of pants out of my 25 allowed items. Lastly, as I looking through the racks their "resale" prices are just as much as new at the main stores. Most prices started at $10 and I seen sweaters priced all the way up to $40. Such a waste of time!
First time visiting HIPS. A very nice clean store. Prices were fair. A huge selection of clothes. There was only one sales associate working. She was friendly and working effectively. There was a line to checkout. However, it was a good experience. I definitely will return to do more shopping. The bathroom was extremely clean!
