We took our dogs to the Hiram Park. It’s a beautiful park that needs maintenance. The small dog area allowed my 3.5 pound Yorkie to get out of the gate. My 4 pound Yorkie also was able to get out of the double gate. It’s not for really small dogs as it cannot contain them in the space and is dangerous because it provides them access to the big dog holding area.
This dog park was great! Idk if the bad reviews were a factor but it was, sadly, empty at 2pm on a Sunday in perfect weather! The bad reviews are all for the little dogs parts anyway. But the large dog section is great! Huge open space with different play sets type of hoops and areas you see competition dogs walk up and down. Hopefully there will be more dogs next visit!
There are 3 different sections at this park. I was initially in the nicer section with my puppy but had to go to another area when some bigger dogs came to play. The other 2 sections have large gaps in the gate that my puppy could have fit through, also, they were more dirt/mud than grass.
It's pretty. Need some maintenance. But it's great depending on the size of your dog gaps in smaller dogs area gate. I like that there is a small playgroundwish the playground was bigger and restroom next to the dog park so I can watch my kids and the dogs all in one area!
My dog loves this park but after it rains the little dog side is really muddy.
Nice dog park. Definitely recommend.
This park needs a huge makeover. Feels like you can catch tetanus from touch something.
So glad there’s a place like this for dogs to socialize and exercise
