The Historic Brown
Even the Most avid historians cannot decipher just when "The Brown" was build, although its place in the history of Breckenridge is quite significant. Built in the 1860's as a private dwelling, it was operated as a school by union Captain George L. Ryan and his wife during the 1880's, and later as a hotel by Tom and Maude Brown.
Michael Cavanaugh, took ownership in 1985, and served fine dining style food to locals and skiers and in the year 2009, changed again to the locals favorite watering hole.
Now in 2016 The Brown has transformed into a beautiful music venue.
