Historic Elks Lodge

Beautiful historic building that is now a wonderful meeting venue. It’s in easy walking distance from the alluvial hotel and many great restaurants. The main floor is great for small party or social. The ballroom is accommodating for a larger group, but maintains an intimate ambiance. The same ballroom used in the movie “The Help.”

It's a beautiful venue. All of the staff was very nice except one guy. I was told his name was Jonathan. He was extremely rude. When I entered the venue with bags in my hands, I greeted him then asked him where the event was being held. He told me to take the stairs to the 3rd floor. Thankfully, when I got to the 2nd floor, another staff member pointed me to the elevator. Smh. During the event, as he was passing by, I got his attention by saying, "Excuse me, can you give me the wifi code?". He responded very tersely, saying 'he was not the owner of the venue so he doesn't have to have the wifi code'. Were it not for his rude behavior, it would have been a great night.

Had an event here for our professional association. Very nice, clean and staff was helpful. The food was so good! Everyone attending the event had a great time and seemed to really like the location. Easy to get to in the middle of downtown. Lots of little shopping areas nearby if you have a chance to walk around. Will continue to have more events here at the historic elks building.

Located in historic downtown Greenwood, MS, it's an ideal venue to host large events at. Stage and presentation area included.
