So my father passed away a couple of months ago, had everything paid for except his headstone. I've tried for 3 months to communicate with Union and no one will return phone calls, emails, or when they do they give partial info but nothing conclusive. I have no idea how they can do business this way especially with grieving families. If someone would just say something like, "are are really backed up, give us time, we are working on it, it will take a year, something but instead they give ignore me. I am always the one to contact them and then they are suppose to get info and get back to me...which doesn't happen. WTH!
From start to finish, Doris has been efficient, informative, easy to talk to but professional. I recommend her highly! I cannot speak to the headstone issues as that wasn't we wanted. Doris loves her job and it is evident.
I paid for my mother's head stone March 28 2021. A year later still no head stone but a whole lot of excuses. Not happy at all with their servises. I've even asked others if they have had to wait this long and I keep hearing their loved ones head stone was installed after a few months. I should of laid my mom to rest at Green Lawn South West.
What a smooth experience I had with Doris! Doing this stuff for a loved one is very hard and I wasn't sure where to begin but im thankful for how easy she made the process for us. My calls were always returned and questions answered!
We have been getting the run around about my sister's headstone come to find out they lost her paper work. And know one wanted to tell us. I would call and we would go by there and just a few days ago one of the workers got the courage to say I'm sorry to say we can't find your sisters paper work. I asked how long have y'all known the paper work was missing? I asked this whole time? I was told yes! In a few weeks it will be a year. We went by there today just to see if they're pressing the issue. I was told the person we needed to talk to would be back to leave my number and I would get a call back. and give me a call and no call.
After over a year of back and forth, and excuses from the cemetery, my mother's grave is still not marked. Paid in full a year ago, these people don't care about your family or your loss. Absolutely shameful.
It's ok I guess. For s cemetery. Sad to see so many without headstones. But that's not their fault. I went to see my brother in law who passed last month. He had enough in his pocket to be buried correctly. His daughter and brothers haven't even got him a headstone. Instead went through and divided all his belongings. He would of never done that to them. Please who ever reads this, take it from personal experience. Make sure you have some kind of insurance so you never have to worry about how your so called love ones bury you.
I am so disappointed..I go to my parents graves every 4-6 weeks for the past 7 years and the grounds to me keep getting worse and worse. The grounds just don’t seem to be taken care of that well anymore. I went today, Mother’s Day 2020. It looked like some parts were mowed but the veterans side where my parents are was so long on all the graves on that side, I’m talking so long that weeds were crawling on the writing of the stone. We ended up weeding my parents graves and some by them. I couldn’t even leave flowers for fear that if they did happen to mow this week they would be removed right after I put them, and put somewhere else like usual. So sad
My brother has been buried their since 1992 and my mother since 1993. We were very young when they passed and our family could not afford a headstone for my mother. Years passed and now as an adult I started a payment plan to pay for it , long story short . She now has a beautiful headstone and because of a simple error, which they fixed promptly I will forever be greatful to Union cemetery and Lupe the gentleman who helped us. Thanks and I too hope to one day be buried here. People stealing from here are the one to blame not the staff, they lock up as they should. The ones stealing should have some consideration for those grieving . Bless those who made it possible for my mother to have a well deserved headstone .
