Hixson Community Center

My son and I have been going to the hixson rec center for many years now. There are always kids and adults shooting baskeball. The court is as nice or nocer than our local highschools court. Its my sons favorite place to play ball. His homecourt he says. The staff are a collection of some of the best people living. Come try it you'll love this place.

We play pickleball in the gym here several days a week, especially if the weather is cold or rainy outside. Fairly consistent 3.0 and 3.5 level play. There are three temporary courts in the multi-use gym. It can be difficult to see some of the lines, which are orange against the yellowish wood background. And the middle court has a black line and the far court has a blue line, which can confuse things further. Typically tee up paddles on a winner's rack and losers rack to keep the games mixed.

Just went with a friend to watch a number of people play wheelchair basketball in the gymnasium. They seem to have a good time and it was wonderful that the schools of Chattanooga opened their doors for this to happen.

We had birthday parties here 3 years ago and wanted to do another one. But she said Its still closed. Hopefully it starts back up .other indoor Halls are so expensive but this one was affordable w small kitchen . We lobed it . I was so glad when We did our party here. Waiting for it to open back up.

The line was huge for early voting. But these people knocked it out of the park!!!!! In line and out of the door in less than 35 minutes.

Very affordable place to have my daughter's birthday party. The process to book the party that required me to take check/money order only to an obscure location downtown was the only thing I would fix. Staff was helpful and the facility was clean. Glad we have this in our community

A great place for anyone in Hixson to enjoy free time. They have a game room with pool and ping pong. Outside tennis courts and an full indoor basketball court. The basketball court is full sized, but also has 4 side goals for smaller full court games. There are also some smaller classroom sized rooms. That can be used for reading and study. You can bring your kids or visit yourself for fun and exercise. All of the above are free of charge. They also have a large multipurpose room. That can be used for any form of reception or meeting. You can rent the room for a fee. Although it is a public funded facility, they are open on some holidays. Such a President's Day, they open at 11:30AM.

Staff are caring and great with kids. My grandson went to the Summer program for two summers and he loved it! I'm so glad we have a wonderful kids center/gym in our community!

Great place to take my daughter to practice basketball skills! I always call to make sure the court is open. They do have a camp here during the day during the summer, as well.

Awesome facility. Staff is amazing. Zach is the best! Always so helpful
