Ho’s Academy of Tai Chi and Kung-Fu promotes a system of movements to achieve strength and balance in our lives. These two branches of traditional Chinese martial arts emerged several thousand years ago and evolved from the simple to the complex and from low to high level. High level skills are developed through a peaceful, relaxed, harmonic and simple life-style, and are accomplished through regular practice utilizing spiraling movements which stimulate the body’s circulation systems. In Kung-Fu, training is focused on increasing the speed and force of movemnts and enhancing the natural reaction to incoming energy. With Tai chi, movements are slower and focused on one’s balance, endurance, and internal strength. Each method is designed to reduce stress, improve flexability, and increase energy, stamina and agility.
Ho’s Academy operates under guiding principles which enable good health and fitness, self defense, and character building. All Tai Chi and Kung-Fu styles are excellent for your helath and fitness, and provides a method to gain better patience, coordination, and discipline.
