Hoag Medical Group

This review is for Dr C Nguyen-Loh at this location. I had an infection a few days ago and my Primary Care Physician is out of the office for a couple of weeks. I was seen by Dr Nguyen-Loh and am very happy and grateful with the way she cares for me. She is very knowledgeable, professional but friendly and is willing to take her time to explain my problem and how to care for it. I totally recommend Dr Nguyen-Loh especially with the way she respects older patients like myself. For those patients that could not speak English She also speaks Vietnamese. Thank you Dr. Nguyen-Loh.

Be careful ! Don’t go there ! Dr long Hua and staff are rude. They judge your outfit before they treat patients . My PPO insurance cover for my routine check up , but after 4 months and I got big bills for it $1,52.06 . I went there and called them to complain ,and waiting more than two weeks , but no one contact me . They failed me doctors. I feel hurt losing money and untruths doctors !!!

Why is there so many biased reviews? I guess you can't please everyone...especially petty complainers that sound like children. Dr. Serang is great, personable and connects with her patients, and I feel comfortable and happy with her now as my primary doctor. This location is wonderful and the staff is on point....stop trashing good doctors and operations. Hoag is the best...thanks for all you have done for us patients in our time of need.

This places is only concerned with what your insurance will cover. They guess diagnosis and write prescriptions. I went here in pretty significant arm/neck pain after two visits to Hoag Urgent Care and each visit I was given a completely different diagnosis. This facility would only give me an MRI referral after I insisted I didn't want pills but to find and resolve the cause of my pain. Only after I said I don't care what insurance covers I'll pay for the MRI would they give me the referral. What kind of medical facility guesses on patient diagnosis wrongly mind you and refuses to do tests they know will identify the core issue based solely on insurance coverage? After the MRI which I paid $800 for, it was confirmed I have a pinched nerve and bulged disc. In my opinion this should be insurance fraud. I just received a response from my Health Insurance 01/20/17..."Your policy does not require the referral of your Primary Care Physician to see a specialist. A particular provider may have his or her own office requirements that mandate a referral, but this is not a requirement of ours. " Hoag as a whole now has some serious issues. My insurance also provided a form so I can submit an insurance claim myself for the MRI. Hoag told me again and again my insurance requires a Primary Care Physician and my Health insurance just informed me that is completely FALSE. Just like 3 of the 4 diagnosis I received, Hoag was WRONG! I HIGHLY recommend steering clear of this or any other Hoag facility. Without my persistence in demanding an actual test I'd probably still be in pain and just on pills, Hoag was NO help getting me to the right doctor or in providing a diagnosis without serious insistence.

This place is unbelievably terrible. They only see you as dollar sign cattle in ...cattle out. Bunch of rookie doctors who doesn't know what the hell is going on. That so-called doctor Serang Does NOT care about anyone or any patient, she only cares about how much money she can make off of you. Will not even come on the phone to talk to you. I thought doctors were supposed to help people not see them as dollar signs. I WILL NOT WASTE MY TIME HERE AND NEITHER SHOULD YOU!!!!

I just started seeing Dr Serang. She seemed very knowledgable and took care of my issue. She took the necessary time with me and I got the impression that she really cared. So far I am happy with her.

The staff and doctors are the best. Caring and knowledgeable.
