Hoagie Heaven

Whenever I stop here for a sandwich the fellow behind the counter is Happy to take my order, the hoagies and sandwiches I have purchased have always been just as I ordered. I shop here once or twice a month on average good quality meats and cheeses.

My first time trying this east-coast cuisine, a local wanted to make sure I had a good experience and was it ever. Holy cow. Best sammich of my life. I don't think it alone is worth the 900 mile drive into the armpit of the nation, but if you happen to find yourself there anyway, you might as well get some good food out of the deal ;

This place was good when all I ordered was hoagies and the occasional water ice or as they call it 'yum yum' ... the lunch special is great! From time to time we would pick up lunch meat and/or cheese ... once we had what looked like lint on a few peices of cheese and went back, no problem. Then recently we had peices of "meat", it literally looked like it fell on the floor, but the person behind the counter said it was because they prepackage the meats and cheeses and sometimes it happens. Sure, that's fine, but she tried to argue when asking to exchange it ... we usually order 1/2 lb at a time, that way it doesn't go bad, it's not like it was a whole cow. Not sure if we'll be visiting here for a while, that put a bad taste in our mouth ... not literally, thankfully.

Went to Hoagie Heaven today to pick up my order. It was raining outside and apparently inside as well. There were buckets everywhere collecting water dripping from the stained and broken some missing all together drop ceiling tiles. This alone made me want to cancel my order completely, but since it was already made and the woman behind the counter could not have been any nicer, I figured I would just pay for it and be on my way. The water from the ceiling had wet the debit machine and she could not get it to work. She went in the back to get the owner who came out and had the nerve to ask HER why she let it get wet not taking any responsibility for HIS building that I assume is a health hazard. Needless to say I will never again including nice weather return. I never did take the food Also I was told while I was there that this is an ongoing problem. The roof or lack of has been this way for a while. It’s a shame. The woman makes great hoagies and is a sweat heart but I like my wet ceiling chunks and roof water on the side Thank you

Stopped here for the first time and will be back on our trips to NJ It's hard to find a true hoagie shop these days and this one fits the bill!! Great friendly service, fantastic food!!

Great hoagies and friendly staff.

Had to get some subs to bring all the way back to Texas and he wrapped them up very well for me. I love them all ways have when i lived up there and all ways will.

Growing up in Phila I enjoy a good hoagie. Whenever I'm in the area I definitely stop in for lunch

Roof problem is fixed. The sandwiches are really good. Excellent priced trays.
