Regarding comments made by Aaron Bratton here is the truth: Customer called to complain, we discounted bill even though accurate in interest of satisfying customer & then he STILL filed a complaint, based on his lies. He claimed he asked for an estimate when he called in, which he never did. Our technician provided a service, checking panels & tightened all connections then checked continuity and he just didn’t want to pay...we had to threaten court before he finally paid over a month later the discounted amount. Spoke to the technician, he said guy asked for estimate when he called before going out, technician told him we don’t give estimates for service work that price is $85 an hour for labor & did he still want him to come...Mr. Bratton told him to come on over to check it out. Regarding the “borrowing of a screwdriver” customer had his tools on table beside panel where he had been trying to repair his self before calling us...instead of going back to truck in rain to get his own screwdriver tech borrowed customers which he offered as it was laying right there. So of course tech has own tools & of course tech tightened all connections, unlike what Mr Bratton claims, why else did he need screwdriver mentioned? We have been in business in Wilmington, family owned & operated, for over 60 years and sadly cannot make every customer happy despite our best efforts to do so. Our longevity in the community speaks for itself.

Duke energy gave us a list of electricians to call. Of the 15 we called only 3 answered. Hodges was the only one able to come out same day. Not only that, but within the hour. Our electrician Ray was very polite and explained everything to us. He made sure to make us a priority since we had a newborn at home and no electricity / heat in the 40 degree weather.

Competent, careful of my home, Jason went immediately to work unravelling a bird's nest in a a box. Found a probable problem, corrected it. Told me what could be contributing to the problem and corrected it. Excellent technician and exemplary employee. WTM

When it comes to customer service and value these folks are A+++. From my experience in dealing with Hodges they are a company you can trust 100% to get the job done and done right for the right price. Angela has a wonderful customer service demeanor and never forgets a customer. Always a pleasure to do business!

All I can tell you is this: I rent a property from these guys, I had water leaking slowly from a hot water heater. I called them and they were at my apartment to fix it five minutes later.
