Hog Heaven BBQ was delicious. I liked the ribs and variety of sauces. The chicken was shockingly excellent . Mostly when I order chicken at a BBQ joint it can be dry or overdone. The sides were good as well. They are removing the fried Mac and cheese I was unable to try that. The chili cheese dog was on point the next day when we went back as well!
This restaurant lived up to recommendations. Chili was some of the best I've had: nice big chunks of beef, tomato, and onion made it very hearty. I also had the lunch pulled pork platter. Standard to better than average green beans and mac. Garlic bread was great. Pulled pork had some fatty bits but was overall very flavorful. Delicious sauce variety at the table. Classic, cozy atmosphere. Efficient no-frills customer service. Exactly what you want when you think of a BBQ spot.
I came in with my family and we all agreed that this restaurant was between a 2-3 out of 5. The service was decent. I got the rib tips and sadly most of it was pure bone and cartilage. 70% of it was not edible. The pulled pork was dry and we had to cover it with tons of sauce. The fried okra was burnt. But we did like the Mac and Cheese and overall the food was okay. Not too pricey, my husband and I paid $30 plus tip between us which isn't too bad.
Good food, and large portion. Three dinner combos are enough to feed five adults. Recommend pulled pork, bbq ribs, and beef briskets.Food: 5/5
The food is ok and the service was good. Friendly server. I liked the sauces. Very sweet. I mixed the mustard with the spicy and was very pleased. The food was ok. Good Smokey flavor but nothing that blew my socks off. Decent food at a decent price. I had the pulled pork and brisket platter with Mac and cheese and green beans. Brisket was decent as was the pulled pork. The Mac and cheese was gritty but edible. Green beans had decent flavor. Wife had the pulled pork and chicken. Pulled pork was ok. Chicken was dry but decent flavor. Coleslaw was sweet and decent flavor. Fries were good. Again, decent but nothing spectacular. Had the appetizer sampler with fried pickles, mozzarella sticks and corn nuggets. Nothing amazing but decent. The pickles were the star. The sauces come in single serve containers and are your standard run of the mill sauces. Nothing spectacular. Decent food at a decent price, but nothing to write home about.
I was really impressed with the flavor and quality of the meat ... BBQ that doesn't require any sauce is the gold standard...and my pulled pork and brisket combo was moist, flavorful and DELICIOUS. I haven't been to Hog Heaven in years, but I will certainly be back soon. Dietary restrictions: Carnivore diet made relatively easy.
A good experience. Nice food and ample quality and quantity. Prices were reasonable. The quality was good. An average meal will cost you $20 each. Friendly service and efficiency was high. I would recommend a visit Wheelchair accessibility: Access for all
Was in Daytona for a quick getaway. Decided to leave the resort and go get lunch and stumbled upon this gem. Not only was the food amazing, but the service from Cathy was astounding which seems to be rare these days, good service. She made the experience wonderful. We tried the rib lunch combo as well as brisket lunch with Mac and cheese and green beans. I truly have nothing bad to say about any of it. Cathy also advised us that she had just made fresh banana pudding. Well, my husband's favorite, so we, of course, had to try. Boy, what a treat that was. It was yummmy!! We will definitely be back and will be asking for CATHY!
The BBQ is smokey and moist. We had the brisket and ribs. We've gone twice now on this vacation. The coleslaw is a great accent. The service was friendly and fast, Sharla didn't even blink when I asked for ice water and lemonade. Parking: You need to be heading south to access the parking lot, or swing a u ten.
I came for the Beef Brisket and was not disappointed. Very smokey. Nice bark. Flavorful. Unfortunately the sides were a disappointment. Their Mac and Cheese tasted like Kiddy Kraft Cheezy Mac- no real cheese. The Baked Beans were OKAY. Their Garlic bread was very tasty. Meat is good. Just don't order the sides.
