Founded in 1981, Holabird Sports is a family-owned and operated running and racquet sports specialty shop located just 20 minutes from Baltimore's Inner Harbor. Our 42,000 sq. ft. space includes a one-of-a-kind showroom, fully stocked warehouse, offices and local service center. The sports we specialize in include running, tennis, racquetball, squash and platform tennis and you’re sure to find all of the advice and gear you need to fuel your passion when you shop with us. We also stock a full selection of athletic apparel, sports medicine and footwear for fitness enthusiasts of all ages and levels. If you need help, our employees are all local sport enthusiasts, runners, tennis players, coaches, certified master racquet technicians and experts with in depth product knowledge. I absolutely love Holabird Sports. I purchase all of my shoes, and pickleball paddles there. The staff is so welcoming, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable. It is always a pleasure to see the fantastic staff. A special thank you to Peggy and Kelly for all of their assistance during my most recent purchase. You both, as well as the entire staff are very appreciated.
Great service, amazing supply, and variety. I was extremely happy with the way they helped me with narrowing down the pool of court shoes, with no pressure to buy or speed up my decision. Their patience was greatly appreciated.
Amazon logistics eat your heart out! Did I pay for overnight shipping and didn't realize it? Did you see the order, immediately grab the shoes and drive at irresponsible speeds to my house? Love the Apple Pay integration. Took about 10 seconds to order. Makes things super easy. Love the shoes - love that they came a week sooner than I expected. Also I think that y'all are the only place that actually had them in stock.
Exceptionally large selection of court shoes. Tom, the man who helped us select our shoes, was very knowledgeable and patient. We drove 3 hours round-trip, and it was worth it. We had good crab soup and crab cakes at the nearby Silver Moon Diner.
I was a loyal and VERY good customer of this company for years. They can look at my purchase history to verify. I recommended this business to friends and clients. NEVER AGAIN! They can’t even honor an $8 gift card that they issued. They’re completely unprofessional and they lost my business and they lost the business of my friends and clients.
If I could give this location 10 stars I would due to their selection, cleanliness but above all else customer service; specifically, Tom. Five minutes after arriving, Tom asked if he could assist me. Once I replied with yes, Tom took me over to the site sizing tool. I was shocked. I have literally not had this done since I was a teenager, constantly guessing what my actual show size must be and never being right. Seriously, that was impressive! Next, I told Tom I have two conditions called Plantar Fasciitis & Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome EDS. Tom was familiar with the first but not EDS. Tom had a book he consumed and stayed recommending several different stores that would help with the Plantar Fasciitis, which coincidently were the same styles I had researched and learned were best for me. Additionally, they also assist with the symptoms of EDS. I became even further impressed, very elated to be honest, because he was so knowledgeable and he cared. Tom made sure that I was being honest even when it came down to the way each shoe looked and make sure it was what I would be happy with or wanted. As he learned more about EDS, I could tell he felt bad about what I experience and it warms my heart he was empathetic. I did not tell Tom just how much pain EDS inflicts in my life or the fact it shortens my lifespan. He was genuinely upset about my dislocations, so I did not share. I learned Tom does not work on commission and the owner of this business highly emphasized his employees be customer-centric. Being customer-centric, doing exactly what Tom and Holabird Sports did as well, is what has made Jeff Benzos a successful as he is with Amazon. Owner - Thank you SO VERY MUCH for requiring this of your employees. I wish Tom could receive some commission from my purchase, &375.00, because he is the reason I purchased more than $140.00 of product from your store. I told Tom I wanted to go ahead and get 2 pairs of shoes, Hoka Arahi & New Balance 1080Y11, because I knew I would not receive ANY level of customer service from my site stores back home in Charlotte, let alone anything close to what Tom had shown me. I wanted to take advantage of his expertise while I could and that's exactly what I did. Again, thank you Tom for such a phenomenal experience! If I were still managing T-MOBILE locations, I would try and steal you Owner of this store, never let Tom go and please do something nice for him because of this review. I don't leave many like this, he deserves it and you really are blessed to have employees like Tom. Update: George just help me with how to tie my shoes in a way it's would keep them from one to slip off my heels and I am also beyond impressed! Additionally, he taught me that if you tap your heel against the floor when putting your shoes on, it will bring them to a correct fit basically. Tom let me know that George taught him everything he knows. I have got to tell you, you will not go anywhere else in received the level of customer service you receive here or the knowledge that they have is unmatched anywhere else with any rival store. You must visit this store if you take your shoes, feet, and customer service seriously. These people deserve your business! Take care!
I keep forgetting about this place when I go to buy sneakers. If you need a special running show, 9 things outta of 10, they have it here and more. Great prices and a very knowledgeable and helpful staff!
I was in the store for an hour working with the experts to achieve the perfect fit. I have difficult feet and truly appreciate the personal care even on a very busy Saturday afternoon

Arrived at showroom shortly before closing and had one of the best buying experiences in quite a while. George was on the floor and he was very patient and super knowledgeable. Provided the shoes that we requested and made some excellent recommendations, left with one pair but will be back for more.
