Our mission is to create additional and ongoing business opportunities for citizens and businesses of the local community whiletaking on an expanding positive impact in the surrounding area.

Holcomb Cabinetry is a Better Business Bureau (BBB) accredited kitchen supply company that specifically focuses on the design and supplying of cabinetry, countertops and related kitchen & bathroom products. Located at 2505 Philadelphia Pike (the old Claymont Ace Hardware store), Holcomb is looking to use their 30+ years of experience in the kitchen & bathroom remodeling, real estate and cabinet industries to have a major impact on the local community and surrounding areas. The new emphasis is to expand their cabinet and product lines to reach all quality and price points from the smallest home project to the most expansive renovation overhaul venture one can imagine. And there is no doubt that Holcomb has been involved in both. By sticking to what they do best, Holcomb has created a natural situation of partnering with the local contractors, builders and “do it yourselfers” for the installation and execution of their products and plans.

We recently updated our entire kitchen and shopped a few places before choosing Holcomb Cabinetry. Their showroom has a large range of cabinets, countertops, hardware, etc. to choose from. Don and Daryl were very helpful in the design, while keeping us within our budget. Daryl was our contact during the process and was very attentive and responsive to texts/calls. We ended up choosing Fabuwood Hallmark cabinets in Chestnut and for granite countertops, Typhoon White. Absolutely gorgeous!! Im obsessed with our new kitchen! Thank you Holcomb Cabinetry! :
We remodeled our kitchen earlier this year and decided to use Holcomb for our cabinets. We selected the Kraftmaid Vantage cabinets and couldn't be happier. The Vantage line at the cabinetry stores are all wood high quality cabinets. Do not be confused by on line reviews of Home Depot Kraftmaid cabinets. They are not the Vantage line at Holcomb. They are very sturdy and have all the bells and whistles you'd expect. Mitchell was our salesman and his knowledge of cabinetry and remodeling design addressed every issue from cabinet heights to address ceiling flaws, to spacing measurements, to proper configuration for all the ends and fronts of the cabinets. We had a detailed layout. After selecting the cabinet features Mitchell made a site visit for measurements and make suggests for a smooth installation. I highly recommend Holcomb Cabinetry.
We recently remodeled our kitchen and shopped at a number of places and were referred to Holcomb Cabinetry from brother also a happy customer, who purchased cabinets at Holcomb just a few years ago. We met Don Holcomb at their fully furnished showroom. He was attentive, knowledgeable, respectful of our budget and worked with us to achieve the design we were looking for in our space. What we most appreciated about Don and his son, Daryl, was that they never guided us to a product nor design that didn't meet our budget...not to mention they have the best prices around. They were responsive to our's and our contractors emails and phone calls. Their measurements, preliminary meetings and graphic design were on point. It may have been the easiest part of our kitchen remodel...such a pleasure to work with!
Up to date, bright showroom to start getting ideas and seeing a range of cabinets, hardware, etc. in place. Don Holcomb, Daryle, and Mitchell are all very cordial, hardworking, and don't try to upsell things. They stock a range of cabinetry from the very budget priced, but attractive, Fabuwood, up to accommodate different tastes and budgets. We didn't really re-design our kitchen space - so I can't speak to their design expertise, although in speaking to several of the people who were references, the reports were all positive. Holcomb also gave us a list of contractors they recommended. We invited two to make bids after speaking with all their glowing references, and went with one, Glenn Gilbert, of Ivy Construction. He was excellent. We replaced cabinets and countertops though Holcomb and are very satisfied with the results. Daryl was our contact with the countertop folks we went with granite and was always responsive by text or call. Don was generous in letting us borrow a sample cabinet door for sometimes long periods of time so we could use it in picking out floor time, countertop, backsplash material. Everything was timely, and when the cabinets arrived, we weren't ready, so Holcomb kept them safe and dry until installation day. On that day, we discovered one corner cabinet was too wide - where the error was made is unclear, but Daryl and Don didn't hesitate to immediately install a temporary one the correct size so we could move forward with the countertop measuring, and re-order a different size without worrying about how the error was made. Also, we ordered shaker style cabinets in maple with a chocolate glaze. The glaze was very nice and smoothed out grain. Unfortunately, one door had a small splotch of chocolate glaze that bugged me, and, again, Holcomb just ordered us a replacement at no charge. Anyway, we found the whole process much less stressful than kitchen remodels can be. I will say, we often rode herd on things, but that's because 1 we always work that way, and 2 we were ordering floor and backsplash on our own, coordinating with our contractor. We tend to take lots of time deciding sometimes the smallest details, but we never felt any impatience on their part. An honest company. We now have a lovely kitchen.
Customer service was adequate but the person I worked with was rude. I had a budget but specific cabinets in mind. I wanted to know what it would cost , aka how much over budget. If numbers where given to my contractor I was unaware, so I reached out myself. Received no email replies which the person admitted to receiving. After almost of month I called and was met with "there are now paying customers ahead of you and I don't want to waste my time" which was uncalled for. I don't want to waste anyone's time, but I was not asking for a rendering just a ballpark of cost over budget, which he did finally give me a figure at then end of our phone conversation. He may feel he was being kind, but his words and tone of voice were not. I'm taking my over budget paying self elsewhere, because kindness goes a long way. I'm giving 3 stars because he was very kind when I originally met with him, but after that it went downhill.
Don designed a great new layout for our kitchen. Daryl helped us with our countertop and cabinet choices. Daryl came to our house to make sure that everything was installed correctly. We were very happy with all of Holcomb's services and thrilled with the results.
Excellent service. Daryl in particular was very helpful and patient. Holcomb Cabinetry managed a kitchen renovation project for us that included countertop and backsplash replacement, plumbing, and electrical upgrades. All of Holcomb's subcontractors were professional, courteous, and on time. Cost was competitive with big box stores and service was far more personalized than it would have been from one of them. I highly recommend Holcomb Cabinetry.
We looked around for about two years and talking to many contractors and then felt very comfortable with the quality of cabinets we chose Fieldstone and the design services. Don was great to work with even when we did last minute changes. We purchased cabinets from Holcomb and the. Contracted with Joe Ward Don's brother-in-law and the one who did the showroom and were very pleased.
Excellent service and very good place to do business with. Quick response and whole process was very well managed. Highly recommended it to anyone who needs kitchen updating
