This place is fantastic. The staff is wonderful, friendly and helpful. We tent camped and they have wood available. We ordered a couple of bundles and noticed there was a handle on the bundle. No, not a handle only; the rope handle was a starter stick. The little things. The shower and bathrooms are clean; have A/C; rain shower heads; tile and perfect. They have RV sites and all are in the trees; close to Holden Beach. This is an absolute treasure.
This campground was on our list of different places we wanted to see while camping on the east coast. Good and Bad here...the staff was really nice and welcoming. I like the text messaging they do and the overnight stay cost is really good for the area, but the park needs a lot of work. We really wanted to enjoy it, but parking your camper here for the night and close to the beach is all it has to offer. The grounds are horrible and snakey, meaning everything is grow up with weeds and poison ivy all other the place. I know they are close to the beach with sand, but a little grass, mowing and weed eating would make the place look better. We wanted to stay here another night before we arrived, but I am glad we only stayed one night and left as early as we could. I never stepped foot out of the camper once we were setup due to bugs and not sure what was going to jump out of the weeds. They say they are going to have a pool soon which should have already been there as long as this place has been opened so people could enjoy it on these super hot days before or after the beach. Again, we really wanted to like the place, but first impressions made us want to turn around and leave.
We LOVE the Holden Beach RV Campground!!!! This is a family owned and operated campground and you can tell they take pride in what they own. The bathhouses are clean and spacious, there is also a laundry room. The bathhouses are individual so you get lots of privacy. We always stay below the playground and the dog park is at the end of the street. The staff are helpful and super kind, which is so refreshing!!!! They have a shuttle bus that will take you down to the beach for free so you can avoid the Holden Beach parking charges.
Staff is extremely friendly and the camp host was the most accommodating camp host we have experienced in 7 years of camping. The trolley and the driver are awesome! The text messages with events and notices was pretty cool! Clean campground and bathhouse. While the sites aren't large, they are set up to where you are not on top of your neighbor meaning not back to back, but more staggered. Fortuntely we have not ran into any copperheads : Definitely recommend!
We enjoyed our stay, the people were very friendly, it was very clean, the only thing I was not a fan of was that our camp site was right on the playground. So come the night before we were leaving the kids were out there playing late flashing their lights into our tent, but other than that I had a great time and I definitely recommend this place. Also, the beach is only a couple mins away from this site, it was the perfect location.
The slogan here should be "welcome home," because, OMG, we didn't want to leave. My family of four plus our pooch full time RV and we had the pleasure of spending a whole month here. There are shady trees, the cleanest facilities I've ever seen at a campground, community activities, a text service, a trolley, a fun store and vending machines. The owners and the camp hosts are KIND beyond words. My son turned ten while we were there and the staff made his day with their well wishes. This is a family friendly place and the tons of homey touches make this a place that we will definitely be coming back to.
We stayed 1 week at this lovely campground. Staff was very friendly, site was spacious and level. Our site was a little tricky to back into, but we were chaperoned to the site and guided into the site with patience. Great location!
Perfect place for camping and the family! Very clean bathrooms and showers. Camp sites are very well kept and nice! And located right acrossed from the beach. Staff is amazing, helpful and very nice! They even personally called us to thank us for booking a site and to let them know if we need anything at all Playground: Great for kids. Restrooms: Very clean and nice Dog-friendliness: Allowed up to 3 dogs. They have a dog park. And doggie poop bags all over the camp grounds Picnic area: Have special events throughout the summer. Pool coming soon. Picnic area very nice and located next to play ground
This park is an awesome campground. The staff and fellow campers were some of the nicest people I've ever met! They are really expanding this campground with a year-round pool, new glamping tents, eventual treehouses, etc. They also have a free tram bus to take you to the beach and avoid paying for parking. We felt like family here and will definitely be back when staying in the area.
The most well maintained, cleanest campground we’ve ever seen! Lots of trees too. This isn’t a “pack them in like sardines” campground. It’s gorgeous! Thank you so much for such a wonderful stay.
