I literally just sat down to enjoy my “senorita de caramelo” and see this. Omg. I almost gagged. Literal disgust. AVOID this place. They are reselling things they didn’t sell the day or days before. Absolutely disgusting. See pics
If you are ordering a cake, avoid Holiday Bakery. I placed my order at the Miami Lakes location. Their baker and cake decorator are located in the Hialeah location. If they send you there with a cake decorator named Olga - don't do it! My daughter's Sweet 16 cake was a disaster. First of all the cake was not centered, horrible job on fondant, rum cake was super dry, decorated with swiggles to hide fondant disaster.... just horrifying. My husband picked up the cake and was embarrassed to tell the decorator that she did a horrible job. When I saw the cake at the venue, I had to start scraping icing off of the cake and deal with my 16 year old in tears. Not something we should have gone through just hours before her party. I was so embarrassed, my guests did not eat the cake. I called the following day and got a partial refund not enough They said that the cake decorator is not experienced in fondant!! WHAT??? Then why did they let me spend over $300 on a fondant cake. The cake decorator told my husband her self that we over paid for the cake and that it might taste bad. I called again to speak to another Manager and I haven't from them since and its been almost a week. It's so sad that my daughter had to go through that on her special day!
I placed a large order of pastelitos and multiple sandwiches for my daughter’s birthday. The 100 cheese pastelitos were all hard, stale and hollow. 100 of the ham and cheese sandwich sliders were extremely hard and bread tasted old as well. I was a bit embarrassed when multiple guests mentioned these things to me as well. I called and asked for a manager. 3 ladies answered, stating they were the manager. When I asked for their names they all refused to give it to me, told me they were not the manager after I spoke told them everything and that they had not received a complaint once and that I was a liar!! Seriously?!?! One of them said I should’ve taken everything back in the middle of the party if it was true. Is she crazy?! I’ve been trying to speak to the manager or owner but they refuse to relay the message. I will make sure to never go there again. It’s not the first time I have a bad experience with them. I tried again after a few years and everything was fine until this experience which drew the last straw.
The absolute worst service you could ask for or expect!!! There are too many Cuban bakeries in Miami to have service this bad.. no way I’m going back
Went in for a snack. Not much choice with a NO WHEAT diet. Place was dingy-looking, and didn’t have strong air conditioning. Opted for a milk- based dessert which was so rancid it tasted like wine. When I complained to the server, she answered “THAT is how it is supposed to taste”! A Senior woman next to me corrected her. I felt my Grandmother turn in her grave. No refund. A mumbled “I will call the owner” NEVER did. $2.78 wasted. Noticed that the tuna salad sandwiches were on the counter, exposed to the heat inside. Star is for logarithm. Reported business to the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Affairs. Let them tell a Health Inspector their flan is not rancid. NB: this business has had issues before…
Was driving behind one of their delivery trucks and saw the guy swerving and trying to cut people off I guess his delivery is more important than our lives..
First time I’ve been there today. Last time they were closed. Totally worth it though. They make a good croissant and their pan con tortilla is good. Their café con leche is amazing. These people know what they are doing when it come to coffee. The place moves quick and you won’t be there for very long.
If I could give it 0 I would!!! I placed an order last week I went to pick it up they claimed I placed it in the Hialeah store! WHICH I DIDNT after staying 10 min inside their private doors they said in 15 min they are bringing it. I sent my husband to get it giving them enough time since I had other errands to run, once he got there they told him they didn’t have any and they couldn’t bake my orders to give. The fact that a loyal customer is treated this way and they blame me for something that was their mistake is incredible!!!
The food is good and fresh. They serve breakfast all day. Beacon, eggs, saugages, fries, cuban sandwich 's, egg sandwich 's. It's very small on the inside. Language spoken here is mainly Spanish. I speak The American Language, English. English is 2nd for this business. The workers are always nice and Customer Service Oriented regardless of the language barriers. Try them out. They also have and do party platters.
The location is convenient and prices are reasonable. You take a number and they are pretty efficient. If they know you youll be good to go. Quite a few things to pick from and all are fresh. Its a pretty friendly atmosphere and it gets crowded. They have hot pastries, sandwiches, cakes and you can always place orders before hand.
