Holiday inn: Dundee- Waterpark

Short story: I booked the room thinking that the water park was open the water park was not open in fact and it was never mentioned anywhere on the site or I'm a Google listing that it was just the hotel available the mini fridge in our room did not work the only redeeming quality was the indoor pool which was not ventilated and wreaked of chlorine horribly, and the two computers they had in the lobby that I let my newly 10 year old daughter and her two friends play on into the evening. Every year my daughter begs for me to take her to an indoor water park on her birthday I always think it's so silly since she has a summer birthday and we usually go during the winter time to a cool resort like Kalahari or Great Wolf Lodge, I thought I had it all figured out going to one that was close and very moderately priced for us to stay over. I looked over the site really well the Google reviews and everything and I felt pretty assured that the water park was in fact open so I went ahead and booked the room. The staff never apologized for the misunderstanding they definitely never offered a refund although I didn't make a big scene out of it since I wanted the girls to have a good time. They did go as far to tell the girls that the water park wasn't open and they WHOOPS forgot to mention that on their website so that's why her birthday couldn't be as great as I planned it.

I do not even want to give this place one star, as my family and I went to Dundee Mi for the Harley drag races, this last Saturday, July 30, 2022. We purchased the presidential suite, almost $300 for one night. We checked in around 3:00 and they gave us the keys, and we got our stuff and got to our room. As we entered, it was 83 degrees HOT in the room. We had our entire family, two toddlers one teenager and me and my husband, when I went to the front desk to ask about the air, they said they called someone to fix it. Not sure why they didn’t give us a new room right away, but whatever. So we went on to the drag races. Came back around 8:30 PM and it was still hot, nothing left for us to communicate a new room or anything, so once again I had to go to the front desk, while my husband took to the kids to the nearest air conditioning, Cabelas. There was no one at the desk for over an hour since the sign we will be back in 15 minutes was up, I called numerous times and I sent an email, no one answered the call and no one replied to the email. Finally, I see a worker, I told them it’s still hot and not working and then they had to get the OK to give us another room. It took two hours, and two rooms later to put us in an air conditioned room, we did not get to eat dinner, our toddlers were forced to stay awake, and we were almost about to leave to head back home since we were so frustrated!! The new room was not anything compared to the presidential suite and the hotel did not refund any money, they didn’t apologize, they didn’t even seem to care that we spent $300 for the worst night ever spent in a hotel!!! Worst experience I have ever had at any hotel!!!

Its closed, don't even bother. The website is an outright lie!!! Don't make the same mistake I made. I booked a hotel stay thinking that Splash Universe was open. It is not open. The room I booked is nonrefundable. I called splash universe after I booked it only because I booked it to make sure I had a spot saved and that's when I found out that it is not open. The guy on the phone told me that they have to update the site. Well after reading the reviews they've been saying this for months now.

The splash universe was not operating, the arcade that was advertised was not up and running. The vending was out of order. None of which was posted on their website. We brought our granddaughter to enjoy the hotel and drove an hour to find out if was just a basic hotel, very disappointingRooms: 2/5

I called and booked a room and was not told at that time that the water park portion was closed. I called to check if they offered a later checkout time and was then informed that the water park was closed. I asked to cancel my reservation which they did without any issue and said they released the funds to the card company to be returned. It’s been a few days and nothing is posted into my account yet so I called my bank and it was not on their end. I then called splash back and they gave me the info to talk to the card company who refused to speak with me because I am not the merchant. I then called splash back and spoke with someone there by the name of Mike who said he would call and help me out but didn’t. I called back today and spoke with Mike again that told me I’m just going to have to wait it out because he didn’t feel like calling now a couple days later.

Because we felt like it would be nice but had high expectations because of wolf lodge. It was horrible and not fun at all.Rooms: 1/5

Great place to go. Rooms were big and very clean. The service was prompt, staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is perfect. There is many restaurants nearby.Rooms: 5/5

If you go bring your own breakfast. It wasn't that good but everything else was nice.Rooms: 5/5

The suites are so nice 2 tvs 1 queen and four bunks a must stay when they reopen
