Our room was okay. There were a few issues. Our toilet and sink didn't work properly, but they had someone get in there right away and fix it. My only complaint would be that the stairs only go outside and they discourage you from using them. We like taking the stairs for health reasons. The breakfast was good. The pool and workout areas are small but serviceable. The location is great! Right in downtown and in walking distance from a lot of things.  Rooms: The room was clean and they fixed any issues promptly.  Nearby activities: Tons to do within easy waking distance. Most things were less than a mile away.  Safety: They gave evacuation plans posted. The doors in the stairwell were not fire doors.  Food & drinks: Breakfast was good, some variety but mostly the same each day.  Noteworthy details: Everyone was friendly and courteous.

First I will say the staff was extremely nice. But this hotel is absolutely garbage. The rooms are small they had the worst smell. The bathroom has a door that looks like a jail door. It’s slides to close but doesn’t fully close. Which means you have no full privacy. Someone can actually look at your while you’re in the bathroom from the side of the door. You pay 35 dollars per day to park in their lot. Ok that’s fine. But then there are signs everywhere that states we are not responsible for any damage or theft to your vehicle. So what am I paying 35 bucks a night for? We do a lot of traveling but this by far was the worst stay. And it’s an IHG hotel. I am a longtime IHG member.  We stayed 3 nights and it was horrible. I am a Hilton member. It will be a minute before I stay in another IHG.

Check in was bad even though I had already checked in online.  Two elevators,  one slow and making noises. Standard breakfast- oatmeal eggs, breads, juices, yogurt, etc. The room was a disappointment.  The chair was falling apart, coffee maker broken,  even the trash can was not properly lined.  The bed was comfortable. The ice machine outside the room was very loud all the time.  Not all outside doors can be used for entry. The parking is $34/ night while a neighboring hotel is $25/ night.  Check out-I asked for extended checkout- they did not tell me that my key would not work and I would need to stop at the desk.  I asked for a paper receipt,  I didn't get it. I have stayed here each year for about 15 years due to the location but this was the first time since covid. I was assured they are remodeling but not convinced things will get better. The staff was  friendly and the breakfast room was very nicely kept up.

Arrived a day early for a cruise by amtrak.  This hotel was conveniently located for both. Check-in was fast. Adjoining rooms just like we ask for. Breakfast was very nice  varietyRooms: 5/5

I loved my stay here. Breakfast was hot, customer service was great & location is wonderful. AC worked too good & I had no problems with the Wi-Fi. I have no complaints. I only took off a star cause the lighting was not ideal to me in the room, but it was a minor inconvenience. Walkable to canal street and bus/train stops!Rooms: 4/5
