Been going here for years. The gym has all the weights needed to get to your goals. Becca, Chelsea, and Brandon always greet me when I come in. The staff is friendly and approachable. I am excited to see what the renovations will look like. As the gym has grown it has gained more equipment. Affordable, clean, 24/7 access, and the members are friendly as well, it is a great environment to work out in.
I have been working out for years here before it was family fitness and since they took over and started to manage it, it has become a reputable gym. Their staff is what makes the difference. Chelsea, Brandon and Becca are great at what they do. Accommodating when I have questions about the gym or services. And always follow up with me when they don't have a answer the same day. I would recommend this gym to anyone who is looking for people who actually care about you and your training. 5 stars !!!!! Dave V.
I recently joined family fitness. I was at planet fitness prior to joining and I'm enjoying family fitness exceedingly more than planet. The employees at family fitness are much more friendly and it's genuine. Brandon and Becca are both extremely helpful and make it a point to greet everyone as the come in and help with whatever else they can. I like that you can lift weights and not trigger a lunk alarm, so that's pretty cool. Overall, I am very satisfied with my switch to family fitness
I joined Family Fitness 2 almost three years ago. I was 41 and 209 pounds post baby. When I joined I was very nervous! Staff was so kind and helpful. I was quickly guided by one of the best trainers/class instructors there, Tammy. She helped me get on track. I soon made many friends. My dear friend Leisel was so helpful, she took me under her wing and helped me learn how to workout. Within the first year I had lost 50 pounds. I am now there all the time. Thanks to the daycare...which has a loving and talented staff, I can come as much as I want. My daughter loves it. The trainers are amazing. The cleaning lady is the best. If you come you will meet Becca, she always has a smile on your face and can help in anyway you may need. Matt is the best as well, so funny and extremely knowledgeable, he will encourage and motivate you to succeed! Overall Family Fitness has changed my life. I love it!!!
This place is a joke and a scam. I used to be a member at Back to Fitness and when they closed their doors with a month's notice to their members, they then moved everyone to this place. It's old, dirty and over-crowded. I've been trying to get my membership cancelled, because I do not want to be a member at this place, and they are trying to make me pay $138. NO WHERE in my contract did it say they were allowed to move my membership to another location. When I contact Family Fitness to try to get them to cancel, they say "they can't help me because they don't have any access to the Back to Fitness members" yet they are working out right in their gym. Instead they give me some email address to write to about my issue. Some person, who decides to not disclose their name or phone number, keeps telling me to pay the $138 to cancel. Are you kidding me? How is that okay to just move my membership to somewhere that's dirtier, more crowded and offers cheaper membership than what I'm paying now. It's a SCAM, do not go here! There are so many better options for gyms than this place.
Great price for a great gym and there is daycare, always a plus for working parents! The staff is very friendly and they keep the gym immaculate! I attend the Zumba class with Regina who is an amazing instructor and makes working out fun, the hour flies by!
If I could give it less stars I would but 1 is the lowest it will let me rate it. This place is a scam. They told me I had to pay 138 to cancel when they closed back to fitness and sent me to family fitness. They gave me an email to request my membership be canceled. Well the email goes to Dan who tells me that I need to pay him to cancel. Good luck trying to get my money, I am not paying you anything nor am I going to your gym. There is a new gym where back to fitness use to be. They have changed the place for the better. It looks nothing like back to fitness, it has new owners, newer equipment and NO CONTRACT so they cant trap me like family fitness and back to fitness have tried to do. if you are not happy where you are now, go check out Iron Lab fitness at baker lofts I am glad I made the switch.
Friendly staff, awesome classes, motivational teachers and personal trainers, and love that it's 24 hours! The only gym in town that actually sat and tried to negotiate a deal that worked perfect for me and where I am financially. Also, love that it has a variety of weights and equipment that suit my fitness needs!
This place is a scam! I signed last year in October for 1 year. somehow I found out last week that they put me in for 3 years. Now I never signed up for 3 years I would never sign a 3 year contract at a gym. Especially Family Fitness they have old equipment every time I go they have there equipment out of order signs on them. Ever since I signed up they told me they where going to remodel the place with new equipment and a section just for women. I have not seen any thing getting done. So for those of you wanting to sign up there be careful this place will get you into a 3 year contract without you even knowing and then tell you that you have to pay over $800 to get out of the contract. This place is not even worth paying for or going there are better gyms out there. I just wanted to give a heads up to those who are thinking about going to Family Fitness in Holland.
