The Holland Fire Department was organized in February of 1945 for the protection of life and property against fire for the citizens of the Town of Holland.
Since February 1945, the Fire Service has taken on numerous tasks and the Holland Fire Department has maintained its skill level to meet the emergencies we are called upon to respond to.
Fire Suppression, Hazardous Materials Emergencies, Motor Vehicle Accidents, Medical Emergencies, Boating and Water Emergencies and more recently meeting the need to respond to terrorist threats/incidents to name a few.
The Holland Fire Department covers an area of just over 16 square miles with a Full-Time population of around 2,500 residents with an increase to around 5,000 residents during the summer months. We have Hamilton Reservoir and a hand full of smaller lakes with many different recreational water activities taking place on all of them.
We not only work within the borders of Holland, but are part of a larger force of trained professionals willing and able to meet the call for assistance to our neighbors on our boarders and across the Commonwealth.
The Holland Fire Department is here to serve and protect our community and aid in anyway no matter how urgent when called to duty. We also help our neighbors when needed.
