Fresh, local, and delicious, with no dirt on your hands!
Holliday's Veggie Patch is a family owned farm located in Belton, SC. Andy Holliday, manager of the 67 acre farm, along with his parents, Twila and Ryan, and his wife, Casey, assist with the daily operations and farm chores. Gardening first began as a hobby for the Hollidays, which allowed the family to enjoy fresh vegetables throughout the summer. If vegetables were abundant, which was usually the case, Twila processed the extra vegetables by canning or freezing, an art she learned from her mother.
As time progressed, Andy became active in FFA. He increased vegetable production from one acre of farmed land to two acres and began selling produce at the Anderson County Farmers Market for an FFA project. The entire Holliday family joined him in this endeavor and became full time vendors in 1997. Overall productivity increased through the years by continually upgrading farming practices.
In 2011, Andy made his boldest move yet. He put in an irrigation system, increased farming production to include 15 acres of cultivated land, became an SC certified farmer and joined the Greenville Downtown Market as a vendor.
In 2012, Holliday's Veggie Patch constructed an approved kitchen to its current facility, offering a variety of jams, jellies and other delicious canned goods for sale at both the Anderson, Greenville. and Fountain Inn market locations.
In 2013, Holliday's Veggie Patch doubled their crop production to support the CSA program that was started.
