My dad was a patient at Holly Manor when he tore his Achilles heel and was unable to walk. I didn’t have much experience with rehab facilities at the time, and when I first saw it, I thought Holly Manor looked dismal and in desperate need of a facelift. I was actually upset to leave him there the first day; however, as the days progressed, I found the nursing staff, occupational therapists, physical therapists and social workers to be absolutely wonderful. They provided fantastic care for my dad, kept me well informed, and he was able to make a full recovery. That level of care is obviously the most important aspect of any surgical rehab facility. There were two people in particular who stood out to me: Debbie, one of the social workers, was caring and thorough and patiently walked me through everything I needed to do to get my dad set up safely at home. I must have called her over a dozen times; she fielded all my questions and never once made me feel like I was bothering her. Patricia, one of the occupational therapists, was equally wonderful and went out of her way to keep me informed of my dad’s progress and went the extra mile for us. I am profoundly grateful to the two of them and the other professionals at Holly Manor. I really hope my dad doesn’t need to go back into a rehab facility but if he does, I would absolutely feel comfortable sending him back to Holly Manor because of the people who work there. The staff is everything, and this facility is excellent because of them.
This is a wonderful, beautiful facility!! I was here for a week and a half. During that time, I received more attention, love and kindness than I could imagine. Every staff member had a smile on their face, greeted me by name, and went out of their way to ensure I had everything I needed! The PT and OT staff were exceptional. They worked diligently so I saw improvement each day, yet didn’t overwhelm me or push too hard. They treated me as their friend, encouraging and supporting me along the way. There were a lot of wonderful recreational activities going on which were always announced so no one was left out. The social worker was especially attentive to my needs and set goals so I could return home. My room was clean, spacious and peaceful. There is plenty of food, delivered on time, nice and warm. Staff brought me extra items if I needed anything. There’s a lovely, paved path outside with park benches and many trees to sit and reflect on God’s mercy and grace. I’m happy to be back home now, but I couldn’t have had a better experience at Holly Manor. My only suggestion? Try to check in early so you can be evaluated the same day for PT/OT needs.
Holly Manor is staffed by extremely professional and helpful health care personnel. The facilities are very nice and comfortable and very clean. The grounds provide a very peaceful environment to aiding the patient in getting a speedy recovery through helpful rehabilitation and exercise. You can’t go wrong with Holly Manor healthcare center. When I say staff I’m talking about everybody that that works here.
My father had a rehabilitation stay at Holly Manor following a stoke. When we arrived, their team put together a care plan and physical therapy scheduled that was clearly communicated and well executed. We could not have been more satisfied with the level of care and the staffs’ attention to him personally. Special recognition to Medrine and Dorette. They truly are angels.
My mother is 99 and has been at Holly Manor since the end of October 2021 and I have found the care to be very good. My family has experienced several other nursing homes in Morris County over the past 9 years when mom needed rehab for different issues and would put Holly Manor in Mendham at the top of my list and would recommend it to anyone seeking care for a family member or friend. My mother has been a long term care resident at Holly Manor for 3 years. The staff is always attentive to her needs and make her feel safe and comfortable. She is happy to see friendly and caring people every day. We are both grateful to have her here at Holly Manor.

My mother stayed at Holly Manor many years ago, and sadly spent her last days there. I wanted to say how wonderful it was to have her so close to her family and friends and also with the capable care by the professionals at Holly Manor. Her most productive time was spent getting physical therapy in the well equipped rehab center with the caring therapists. It was very easy to speak with all levels of the staff when questions about care and plans arose. I would recommend Holly Manor to those in need of rehab and nursing care.
I have had the experience with placing 2 very close relatives at Holly Manor over the years. My mother was placed here after having a very bad fall at home in south jersey and was in very poor medical condition. At Holly Manor she was nursed back to health with a combination of rehab and medical attention. Being in town made it so easy for our family to visit her very often. We were also able to set up her room with some of her personal furniture and pictures etc... in order to make it as comfortable and homey as possible. The management and nursing staff were very professional and came to make her feel as if they were part of the family. Additionally, a very close elderly Aunt was placed here a couple of years ago. She happened to be placed in the same room that my mother had spent her time at Holly Manor. This happened to coincide with the out break of the Covid virus. The management and staff of Holly Manor handled this time in a very professional and caring manner. It was a very trying time for all involved. I would absolutely recommend Holly Manor
My grandfather spent 3 weeks recovering here after surgery. He was very happy with the rehab and the great progress he made. Dominick was wonderful with him and encouraged him to work hard to regain his independence. Debby and the other therapists were also great. The nursing staff, Dorette, Shannon, Solette, Marie, Cece and many others I wish I could remember everyone’s names! were all such wonderful caring people - they should all be commended!
